If this is true, then why are you so angry that the US Military is trying to save you?

I come from an Island
In the Carolina sand
Where I was broke down,
Built up and reborn a fighting man
My blood runs red,
white and blue
I’ll brave the cold,
the rain, the pain
and the bullets
so you don’t have to
Don’t worry about me;
I’ll be all right
Just care for your children and sleep tight
I’ll keep you safe
on my watch tonight
It’s a long, long way from that island
And a long way from home
With the thought of you standing behind me
I could never be alone
There’s a promise
I need you to make
While I’m gone you take care of the love
And I’ll deal with the hate
Don’t worry about me;
I’ll be all right
Just care for your children and sleep tight
I’ll keep you safe
on my watch tonight
Don’t worry about me;
I’ll be all right
Just care for your children and sleep tight
I’ll keep you safe
on my watch tonight

Mike Corrado, a Marine who was in Iraq, sings beautifully, doesn't he?

I think they would turn their back as they have countless times with abortion. Libs only care about one thing. Themselves.

I'm not angry at the Military but you are sorely mistaken if you think they are fighting for my freedom and Liberty in Iraq, it's a fools war based on false premises and bad policy friend They weren't a real threat when we went in though this war has managed to make us less safe since it's driven millions of more people in the middle east to hate us, we had a great opportunity 6 years ago to turn the tide permanently in our favor and to marginalize the terrorists but we blew by having the wrong man in charge at the time, everything we've done will haunt not only our future but our childrens future so if my children are less safe, and I believe they are, it's in large part due to the actions of George W Bush and his administration's policy's

I don't identify myself as a liberal or a conservative, but your implying that the people stationed in Iraq right now are trying to save us from terrorism is shaky at best. And I don't say that as a sign of hostility towards them, but rather to the geniuses who sent them there in the first place. The reasons for going to Iraq were not vindicated, and there's no end in sight. I have no interest in song lyrics, they couldn't possibly be any less relevant. Unless of course they move you to enlist?

As would all Americans if it comes to that .
Just how are they doing that , they were sent to the wrong country to fight and now have made the terrorist stronger ?
Our borders are not closed are they ? Is this country as secured as it could and should be ?

Any parent would be willing to fight and die for their child/ children. The way you tried to spin this into a political debate is shameful.

Save me from what, an Iraqi civil war? Of course I'd fight and die to save children, mine or anybodies, but what does that have to do with where our stupid President sent the Army? If you really wanted to support the troops, you would have voted for competent leadership for them. Instead you decided that gay marriage was more important to you. I'm sure the troops thank you from the bottom of their boots for that.

I would save them from terrorists. I would teach them that it's important to get their leader who is "not important" according to someone we know. I also would teach them that wars for a living are wrong.

The military isn't helping Americans in Iraq. That's a civil war that has nothing to do with America.

because the united states military is being bamboozled by the powers over it.
i could ask you the same question, impose a 100% income tax, and ask you why you refuse to support our defense.

The military is doing the job they were ordered to do. No one is angry with them. The anger and frustration is pointed at Bush and friends. The fact you don't realize this is sad and misguided.
