No one thought that was even possible and yet democrats are still screaming that we are less safe now. What is that assertion based on? Like Bush or hate Bush don't we still have to give the man kudos for 6 years terror free?

In his new speech he talks about "no blood for oil," global warming, and he praises liberal hero Noam Chomsky. Maybe the better question is why are the liberals using the same talking points as Osama bin Laden? This feels like the twilight zone.

Does anyone else find it alarming that a major political party in the U.S. appears to be closer aligned with Bin Laden than our own president and our country? You people can go ahead and bash me and call me names all you want, but Bin Laden's speech speaks for itself. Here is full unedited transcript of his speech.

If you read this, how can anyone deny that he sounds like a liberal democrat.

General Petraeus is a military man constantly at war with the facts. In 2004, just before the election, he said there was “tangible progress“ in Iraq and that “Iraqi leaders are stepping forward.”

HERE IS HOW GOP TRAITORS UNDERMINED AMERICAN RESOLVE DURING CLINTON'S SUCCESSFUL OPERATION IN THE BALKANS. REMEMBER, NOT ONE AMERICAN SOLDIER DIED.

"President Clinton is once again releasing American military might on a foreign country with an ill-defined objective and no exit strategy. He has yet to tell the Congress how much this operation will cost. And he has not informed our nation's armed forces about how long they will be away from home. These strikes do not make for a sound foreign policy."-Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA)

"No goal, no objective, not until we have those things and a compelling case is made, then I say, back out of it, because innocent people are going to die for nothing. That's why I'm against it." -Sean Hannity, Fox News, 4/5/99

"American foreign policy is now one huge big mystery. Simply put, the administration is trying to lead the world with a feel-good foreign policy." -Representative Tom Delay (R-TX), 1999

General petreaus or betray us, is getting pay by the oil companies to cook up the report on Iraq's invasion failure. As for the propaganda CNN is advertising for Bush tapes of Bin ladden, is just another fake information to keep the fear of another 911 in the American people who swallow anything Bush says.A reminder, we went into Iraq for WMD's not to get rid of it's population and loot their oil resources. Two, 911 was the act of a greedy mind in the white house with connection with the oil companies. So the war on terror is really and should be ridding the white house of those criminals who cooked 911 to get an excuse to invade iraq for it's oil resources.

They have the same ideals and they essentially say the same thing? The reason I am asking is that I have been told a couple times Moveon.org has no affiliation with the democratic party.

Anyone know if this is true or is there a real paper trail that ties the two together?

I'm going bake a big batch of gran's "classified" apple pie recipe and watch patriotic movies! Then me and my closest buds are gonna gather around a roarin' campfire and exchange 9/11 presents! After that we'll drink my "top-secret" 9/11 nog and take a moment to remember all the sacrifices we made to afford 9/11 presents.

Why was he allowed to testify without taking an oath? That is most unusual.

I remember that they let Gonzales testify that way, too, and what a liar he turned out to be.

HMMMMMM.... Listening on C-Span - did I just miss the swearing in or are we definitely being lied to?

This is what, the umpteenth time now? As recidivists often do, she swore up and down that she was "retired" and her anti-American war protesting days were behind her. But alas, when it comes down do it, she just can't seem to keep her nose clean.

Repeat offenders such as this hold little chance for rehabilitation. It would be in the public's best interest to lock her away for good.

I heard a Repubican say that Bush's plan was to invade Iraq to set up a base to invade Iran (which is silly if you know anything about modern warfare, much less the fact that we are already in Afghanistan, which borders Iran too) but ignoring all that even...

simply put... America doesn't want another war waged by the same administration...

they are afraid of another failed nation building exercise... by an adminstration that's proven its self to be incompetent...

even if Iran is a viable threat... have Bush's numerous blunders lost him all the credibility that he would have to have to wage another war?

this could be a big issue in the election... and Republicans better watch out if they want to push action on Iran...

and the politicians have done nothing?

Are we dealing here with people who are willing to say anything that favors their point of view to get their way. I hear for example Mr. Bush while in Australian made a public and professional statement that "we are kicking *** in Iraq". So if they want the surge to work, in their minds, it can only work, no matter what the reality is ....again...the goal of the surge, lest we forget was for political action to occur. Since the political progress did not occur, the surge must therefore be considered a failure, especially since it cannot be sustained permanently.
