How does what Ted Nugent said make the Dixie Chicks right?
No. The Dixie Chicks weren't right.

the only thing I didn't agree with was where the Dixie Chicks were when they said what they said. Other than that, they should get an apology from everyone 'casue Bush is an embarassment to this country. Ted Nugent shouldn't quit his day job. He is typical of the right wing hate spewers who use insults and slurs instead of debate and facts to try and win their case.

There is one substantial difference. Nugent doesn't hide behind his music or beliefs, he wheres them on his sleeve for the whole world to see. The Dixie smuts on the other hand Wiesel their politics into their act and pander to the left while taking millions from those that would disagree with their loony tune ideas. Bad form at the very least. Nobody likes liars.

They were right, since it was their own opinion, expressing their own feelings. Nugent was right for the same reason.
I'm a mmusician, and I gotta tell ya, in terms of a career, and musicianship. the Dixies beat ol' Ted every time.

I could care less what the Nuge and the Dixie Hos said. They are entertainers. That doesn't qualify them to have a political soapbox.
I lose respect for entertainers when they feel they have to speak out because they are celebs: Tom Cruise and his crusade against happy pills, Sean Penn and his trips to visit Communist psychos, Miss Teen SC and her quest to change Geography as we know it, etc.

I don't have a problem with what the Chix said. It's free speech.
I just disagree with the "liberals" when they maintained that the Chix were being denied their free speech rights. They were not.
If I organize a boycott of the Chix's music, that isn't denying them their rights.
They have a right to say what they want, and I have a right to CRITICIZE what they say. If I criticize them, that also does NOT deny them any rights. They were never being suppressed - citizens have a right to listen to them or not.
A GUARANTEE OF FREE SPEECH DOES NOT GUARANTEE THAT EVERYONE WILL LISTEN TO YOU.
As for Nuge, he curses all the time, why should it be any different when he talks about politicians?

Who cares? The Dixie Chicks had every right to say what they said. They weren't arrested. They just failed to realise that their fans had freedom of choice to not buy their records, and the freedom of speech to call them traitors, and the freedom of assembly to protest them. If you don't like what Nugent said, don't buy his albums. I didn't like what the Dixie Chicks said so I haven't bought one of thier albums. See how this works?
I would also like to say how much I laugh at Natalie's little song "I'm not ready to play nice" when she cries and complains about people using their freedom of speech to criticise her freedom of speech. The hypocrisy makes me laugh.
