Worst tragedy ever to happen in this country, and he wants to be able to speak at the ceremony as a Presidential candidate. Should he be allowed to when no other candidate will be allowed to use the occasion to promote his or her campaign?

To clarify, because obviously some people didn't quite understand what I was asking: I'm not asking if he's done it before... I'm not asking if other people will do it... I'm not asking if other people HAVE done it... I'm asking whether you believe it's okay to exploit the 2,974 people who senselessly lost their lives on September 11, 2001 to win a Presidential election. Yes, or no.

No, I've thought from the beginning that Giuliani running on 9/11 is sort of smarmy, and in bad taste. I was glad to see the first responders speak up about him. If he continues to run on the back of 9/11 and actually gets the nomination they will do everything in their power to make him look bad. The bad news for him? Who doesn't respect the opinions of firefighters and other first responders from that horrible day? I'm wondering if the "powers that be" will move those protesting his appearance far away from the cameras like they did with the peaceful protesters at the Republican National Convention in 2004.

sure. why not? GW Bush has been exploiting the 9/11 tragedy to further his agenda since he stood upon the rumble with a bullhorn. he's used it for everything from invading and laying to waste a country that had nothing to do with it to shredding The Constitution to making torture and indefinite imprisonment without charge American policy. It works well for GW so why shouldn't Giuliani exploit 9/11?

i think of seeing how a frontrunner handles a disaster brings out the reality on the management of that man or woman. look at Rudy on 9/11, now look at Ray Nagin before/for the time of/after Katrina. Who might Hillary be if no longer for invoice. purely yet another do no longer something senator.

You're joking, right?

Hasn't he built his ENTIRE political career on 9/11? What do you mean "Should"? He DID!

You apparently have no sense of history. How do you think FDR and Truman got themselves elected. They used Pearl Harbor to gather support for their campaigns.
