India

Of the two, China is most likely, but it will still be ascending at that time (it's only 13 years).

Consider how many markers the country holds against the U.S., especially given our bogus "war" in Iraq, into which we're locked. Consider, also, that China has carefully positioned itself as a semi-neutral nation in Iraq and Afghanistan, so that it can align itself more easily with Islamic states (oil).

This, plus the sheer volume of manufacturing and export, I think will make China the superpower in about 25 years.

India can't become a Super Power with Democratic form of government ridden with the coalition governments of opportunistic parties. The small parties have very narrow considerations for increasing their own party bases and of course their leaders trying to fatten their own selves.

In China it is a different ball game.We shall witness very soon when the Beijing Olympics are held and they go on achieving the impossible targets.

China will be the world's superpower, the United States having collapsed from the burden of trillion-dollar debt caused by George W. Bush's runaway war spending.
We are China's largest debtor - and once they started calling in our loans, the U.S.A. will no longer be in a position to finance its military. China will send its million-man army over here and take whatever it wants: natural resources, weapons of mass destruction, banks, real estate, military hardware - even our women if there's a strong demand for western female flesh on the international sex-slave market. -RKO- 09/10/07

India would be the likely of the two. A super power must consist of a solid government, strong economic base (utilizing the diversity of its many regions and demographics). intelligent use of natural resources, promotion of science and technology, strong educational base and strong defensive military capabilities.

The United States is still poised to be the preeminent super power for the foreseeable future.

If you compare between India and China, then it will undoubtedly China. Chinese government is extremely intelligent on using its power to control its people and maintain the prosperity of the nation. As a result its rapid economics development continues to grow and thus they become one of the largest goods exports in the world.

I would imagine the US would still be considered the super power...

China will have narrowed the gap though...

India has a long way to go...

Unfortunately it will still be the U.S.A.

India will have to solve the problems with different religions.

China with Communism.

Of course if U.S.A stays in Iraq and goes to interfere in
Iran then their expenditure is so vast that they will go
broke. Even their big macs wont save them.
