Dem voters are typically unemployed and know that a vote for a Democrat is a vote for laziness.

Neither, it's no surprise that people with lower incomes would be more likely to vote Democrat while people with incomes over 50K vote Republican. Actually I'm surprised he got 40% of that vote; I would have thought it would be lower than that. Then again, 50K is really considered that high of a salary anymore.
As for being the party of "hard-working, responsible" people, I think most people realize that there is little correlation between income and work ethic. I'm sure hard working responsible people vote for both parties.

Maybe a lot of uninformed people bought into The President who went AWOL's lies regarding Kerry's service record.
(After all, we know hopw jealous he was of a real hero that actually wnet there and was decorated)
Having those swift boat vets who all have been prooven liars
http://www.factcheck.org/article231.html
yet these so called troop supporters continued to besmeerch a real hero AND BUSH when asked to step away from such slander, did the same as he did in the gaurd, disappeared!!
If you have studied at all about previous elections, you would know, that Ameriocan voters have a huge resistance to "changing horses, in mid-stream".
Now that all of George Bush's cry's of "WOLF WOLF" have been debunked, we'll see how many of those people support the party who perpetuated the lies on Kerry and the Lies regarding this war.
November will spell it out REAL CLEARLY for those of you that seem confused.

Republicans are economic utopians who think opportunity and wealth just grow on trees, so all people have to do to get "theirs" is to go pluck a tree.
Most Democrats are economic realists. They recognize that scarcity exists, therefore the question becomes, how do you divide what is available? Fairly or unfairly? Liberty and justice for all? Or liberty and justice for the wealthy?
I read of an environmental economist's study recently (I can't recall where or who) in which he/she calculated the amount of resources required to bring all nations on earth up to the level of US GDP per capita. For all people to live with the equivalent of the current US standard of living would require the resources of 4.5 earths!
Hence, the problem Democrats recognize and Republicans ignore.

because those that earned more than $50,000 are more educated and more informed and realize that the democratic agenda targets the rich -- guess who -- those making more than $50,000 a year, to siphon our money and give it to the poor. You know, the make believe war on poverty whereby the dems transferred over 12 trillion dollars in the last 30 years from the producers to the lazy. And now they have the testicles to ask, "where is the middle class going." Unbelievable.
In answer to your question, those people 50g-plus vote Republican.

This sounds like an earlier question reworded. There is no way to determine the actual socioeconomic status of voters. There are no demographic questions asked and the ballot os secret. There is simply put, no way to assert the notion that any one candidate got the vote of any income group.

Is it good for any American, rich or poor, for us to run up a trillion dollar debt to China?
"Hard-working responsible" Americans don't run up massive debts that they can't afford to pay back, why do they support a President who does?

Yes, democrats usually appeal to blue collar workers, while Republicans usually appeal to white collar workers. This is because of who benefits most from each party's ideology.
