we are so divided now that we are eating ourselves from within, do you really think al-qaeda will attacks us. that would bring us back together and unite us. i don't think that they want that and i really don't think they are stupid. some don't think the 'war on terror is real yet. what is your take on this?

Those of you who are pushing for us to pull our soliders out of Iraq have no idea what youre doing to our country. Not only are you killing the morale of our soldiers, but if you think the world hates us now, wait until we pull out and the slaughter begins in Iraq. The world is going to hate us more for starting something and not finishing it. They will show video of the bloodletting on TV and criticize America for it. Not to mention a bomb going off in a neighborhood near you. Hopefully it won't kill somebody you know. Hopefully it won't kill somebody I know. Be careful what you ask for, you just might get it.

Don't you ever wonder how much we could accomplish if we really started working together. We are not the world's cops - we need to take care of our country, each other and, every now and then, mind our own business. I wonder what would happen if we didn't go into a country until they ACTUALLY INVITE US or UNTIL THE ACTUALLY ASK FOR OUR HELP???

Give it some thought before you answer - I've heard all the Rep and Dem rhetoric, so, if you don't mind, drop the posturing. How about some unifying responses - how could we honestly find some common ground? I would really like to know.

The cons have made a big deal about the new "conservative Supreme Court" and inform us Bush's "legacy will "last a generation.

As of now, the Court is split 5-4--and no more conservative justices are going toget in for at least 5 years--that should be obvious to even them.

Scaliea--current tenure:21 years
Kennedy--current tenure--19 years
Thomas--current tenure--16 years

If any one of these retires--the alance tips back to the moderate/liberal

Now--what do you figure the odds are that's going to happen?

shouldnt fat people be taxed for their weight? that is of course, if they dont have glandular illnesses or other problems that thye cant control. the vast majority of them have a choice, they just decide that being fat is alright.
is this even possible? in america, it seems ironically that the poor are fatter than the rich, so it would be difficult to tax them.
the tax might encourage them to live a healthier lifestyle, and we will enjoy much more the views on the beaches.

It has been a few weeks since we have had full force. Do our soldiers deserve at least a few months to win this? Why should we trust democrats to protect us when they call our surge a failure before we even have a chance to do it?

It seems that our nation is divided by two parties and each side argues that what the other party leaders did is worse than what the leaders of their party did.

Aren’t we supposed to be looking for leaders that are of good morale character? Why do you think Americans have become complacent (with disgraceful acts surrounding national leaders) and not only accept incompetence and immoral behavior, but actually defend it in the name of our political parties?

people complain about healthcare getting more and more expensive. but arent small drugstore chains helping to relieve some pressure for those who dont have health insurance? you cant really deny it, some of the examinations they offer are more complete than at private hospitals.
the state of georgia now has the toughest laws against illegals in the nation. and because of this, the publically funded Grady hospital might actually survive, instead of being shut down because of the flood of illegals coming in without insurance or anything. now they are only elligible for emergency service. getting rid of illegals or denying them service might make it easier for legals to pay for healthcare, and easier to get it.
do we really need nationalized healthcare? we just need to set/enfore immigration laws and provide more private sector alternatives.

Let me get this “right”… to join the Republican Party I need to first have the ability to fallow blindly, then turn a blind eye to justice, the Constitution and the will of the people?

After that, will I have any self-esteem left?

It took the better part of a decade to get our Constitution and form of government together.

Iraq was where the US was in the beginning. They are the first freely elected government in an Arab country. We were the first democracy.
