As an Englishman who is currently in the USA on business i feel i must ask this question.
Most Americans i have met always seem to late and i was wondering if this stems from World War two, where as everybody knows they were infamously late.

They deserve a home and have suffered great deals of pain and suffering during the Holocaust. Considering that we as a nation adore and love them so much and to sacrifice peace for the world in general, why dont we just give them NY since the majority of American Jews live there. As such, we would gain the love and support of Jews all over the world ! Shalom to all our brothers and sisters in Israel

The new song and dance seems to be Democrat and liberal dissent to the war in Iraq are the main causes of the problems faced by the military on the ground there.

How does this work logistically?
How does dissent at home impede the efficiency of an all-volunteer army fighting more than 15 000 kilometers away from the dissenters?

I would like to know what, politicians do to deserve their pay check every month. I don't see much results from their work, do they ever work? or what do they do. example; No immigration reform, nothing on health insurance, nothing on gas price no even on the war. shouldn't they earn their paycheck like everybody else?

War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things.

The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse.

The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.

The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse.

English economist & philosopher (1806 - 1873)

I see literally dozens of trolling posts made here daily, often personal attacks based against someone's party "enemies". Why should we even consider ourselves to be a competent society (or people in general) if some people cannot even provide a rational debate to their beliefs?

I realize that some soldiers do want to leave and are complaining, but the vast majority believe in the cause and want to remain. I don't see why all the citizens, who were not brave enough to sign up and serve, are calling to bring home the troops, when the troops themselves don't seem to share that sentiment...

If I was president I would say "any soldier who wants to give up on the cause and go home is welcome to do so" and I would wager that a small percent would abadon what they have worked so hard for and leave.

I just think it's funny that people who are sitting in there air conditioned houses are having a cry and complaining about the troops not being brought home, when infact, they have no place to do so.

It seems to me that we have become a nation that will protect their political party first and their country second. Is that the case? Is it a "Parties" fault we are where we are or is it because of politicians in general? Not just the War now, Look at our entire country and its condition.

Is it because they cannot challenge him on the issues? It seems to me the right has run out of ammo and has resorted to name calling and throwing rocks. They insist on repeated pathetic attempts to prey on peoples fears and prejudicies by trying to link him with Islamic fundamentalism. They spell his out his middle name "Hussein" in capitalized letters and ask really stupid questions like; Once he's elected, will we all be forced to learn Arabic, or will he take the presidential oath with his hand on the Koran or will Bin Laden be selected as his VP? I have heard all the asinine statements on here. Barack first of all is Christian, not that matters, but he has fully laid out his agenda on Healthcare, the war, social security, immigration, foreign policy, meeting our future energy needs, ending corruption in Washington, and strengthing family and community. He is completely forthcoming about his plan for America, and yet the cons attack him with outright lies. Why?

some of Clinton's pardons?

Here are a few:

On August 11, 1999, Clinton commuted the sentences of 16 members of FALN, a violent Puerto Rican nationalist group that set off 120 bombs in the United States mostly in New York City and Chicago, convicted for conspiracies to commit robbery, bomb-making, and sedition, as well as for firearms and explosives violations.

I'm sure these were good guys though....

How about this guy?

Melvin J. Reynolds, a Democratic Congressman from Illinois, who was convicted of bank fraud, 12 counts of sexual assault, obstruction of justice, and solicitation of child pornography

Nice huh?

Clinton issued 140 pardons as well as several commutations on his last day of office (January 20, 2001)

I'm asking this because some of my Jewish friends say the holocaust was the most evil thing ever. They believe in something called the doctrine of "singular evil". That just means that that the holocaust was a unique kind of evil. Unlike all the other killing the Jews suffered a singular evil that justifies them stealing a country from the Palestinians. Do you agree?
