Can anybody tell me what politicians do?

I would like to know what, politicians do to deserve their pay check every month. I don't see much results from their work, do they ever work? or what do they do. example; No immigration reform, nothing on health insurance, nothing on gas price no even on the war. shouldn't they earn their paycheck like everybody else?

Politicians are practiced in the art of critical thinking, taking a subject and looking at all the possible ramifications of its outcome and the variables that will effect that outcome in the years ahead. At their best, they design policy that effects our tomorrows as opposed to settling for what brings immediate gratification today.

Some politicians use these skills to manipulate public opinion and earn immediate gratification for themselves while in office. The better ones used these skills as they should be used - making sacrifices today in order to ensure our tomorrows regardless of public opinion.

They do earn their paychecks, but not for the reasons they were elected for. They kiss corporate anus in order to bestow profit and pleasure on themselves and their own. That is not how it is meant to be, but that is the reality of it.
