Does anyone else find this to be deeply disturbing, that Republican (and Democratic) presidential candidates and supporters are calling for troop withdrawal from Iraq by 2008 -- which happens to coincide with the presidential election?

Don't forget even Michael Howard won the English popular vote (ie he got a higher share of the vote in England than Labour).

The English are instinctively right wing as most polls of public opinion show.

lib·er·ate (lĭb'ə-rāt')
tr.v., -at·ed, -at·ing, -ates.
1. To set free, as from oppression, confinement, or foreign control.

So, why did they oppose the Iraq liberation?

How come the only thing they want to "liberate" is tax money from my wallet to pay for their welfare programs?

I would like to hear some reasons why you think Bush should be impeached. Libs keep calling for it, so I'd like to hear why.

i just asked this same question ten minutes ago and called the practice of doing this ''seperatism.'' apparently, people thought i was asking about segregation... oy...

how possible would it be for us to go back to seperatism? america did this in the beginning, and we continued that way for a long time. what are the pros and cons of seperatism? can it be achieved again? is it a wise idea? how would it affect our economy? would we most likely lose allies?

I don't understand. I mean, when I was a young teenager, I always wanted to join the army, but that was until I realised what the hell they actually do, y'know, the truth.

How come some people are just completely against the idea of peace?

Just wondering. I came across a question, and an answer had such a strong and negitive response to muslims and the religon of Islam.. I once went to Africa to build a hospital. Does that make me a terrorist because of my race? Some people are so stuck up with themselfs, and just dont understand that not all Muslims are terrosrits!

Like when he wanted the immigration bill passed and spoke to the country and said...

"Those determined to find fault with this bill will always be able to look at a narrow slice of it and find something they don't like."
"If you want to kill the bill, if you don't want to do what is right for America, you can pick one little aspect out of it."
"You can use it to frighten people."

“U.S. and British media were generally under whelmed on Sunday by Live Earth, the mega-concert organized by former U.S. vice president and green campaigner Al Gore, which, though built on the model of Live Aid and Live 8, created a less positive buzz.”

Over 1,000,000,000 people were associated with this, and nada on it in the media.

The actual owners of the US media are republicans, and god forbid any positive news about the democrats.

If your answer is yes than my follow up question is. Did the massive propaganda and fear campaign seep into your Psyche enough to condition you into believing that somehow there was a rational and justifiable reason to enter Iraq?

If your answer is no than do you believe that our country is in peril and what can we do?

Disclaimer:

I understand that Saddam did terrible things and he did many with weapons we gave him. I am not saying he was not a bad person. It is just not relevant in this question.

I am not a liberal in fact I am not even close to liberal. I am not anti war and I believe my question is fairly indifferent.
