No change for the Democrats, they already want the US out of Iraq. But perhaps this sign of increasing anarchy will persuade more Republicans to support a withdrawal. There are no more troops available for the surge.

Its the repubs also.;

Indiana Senator Richard Lugar, ranking Republican on the Foreign Relations Committee, said on ``Late Edition'' on CNN. ``We have no good options in Iraq now; there are no good options,'' Republican Senator Chuck Hagel of Nebraska, also a member of the foreign relations panel, said on NBC's ``Meet the Press.''

Setting a Date

Republican lawmakers are beginning to unite around a proposal that may allow for a drawdown of U.S. combat forces by March 2008.

In the Senate, six Republicans are backing legislation introduced by Democratic Senator Ken Salazar of Colorado and Republican Senator Lamar Alexander of Tennessee that doesn't set a deadline for withdrawal but aims to create conditions that could lead to a redeployment of U.S. troops as early as the first quarter of next year. In the House, 33 Republicans support similar legislation.
