on a related note, which do you want to avoid more, phony and disengenuous, or one that actually doesnt hide the fact that they are a nut.
Unfortunately none of the candidates really excite me. Some are phony, some seem honest but nuts maybe. some are in between.
We do have alot of time for some improvement in the candidate area though, its still a year and a half until general election.

The Mormons believe we all lived in Heaven with Heavenly Father, several Heavenly Mothers, and 20 Billion Heavenly Siblings before we were born here on Earth. Then there was a war. The good guys won and were born White. The bad guys lost and became demons. Those who were neutral or did not fight bravely were born with non-white skin. The bravest of the brave were born to Mormon families.
We all know that Romney must have been a "Valliant Warrior" in the "War in Heaven" during the "Pre-Existence". How else could he have been born "White and Delightsome" to an LDS family here on Earth? Heck, he was probably one of the Commanding Generals . Now , America needs a President with valuable military experience like that to get us through our war in Iraq. Could you please ask "The One and Only True Prophet", Gordon Hinkley, to please release those valuable records to the public? We need to know what battles he fought in. How many medals he won. How many of the "Less Valliant Soldiers" he recommended being born with black skin when they got their chance to be born on Earth. Was Al Sharpton one of THEM ? How about Jesse Jackson? Mormons, this is your chance to show the world the light of the everlasting gospel. Dont miss out. We have General Romney running for president of the USA and we need you badly right now!

Well, Rudy Gulliani for one. Has he had ONE single speech when he didnt say 9/11.
He would no doubt continue the war, but how many new ones would he start? At least with him we know that future wars are in the horizon.
Hillary scares me and to a certain extent Obama does too in that, in order to make their mark as the first woman/black president, would they embark on a new war or new unattainable goal?
McCain got done in my going back to the daily show one too many times.
they all see a bit phony to me. that makes Ron Paul so appealing; his talk in consistant and has been consistant. That really is all the people want, someone who does what they say they will...
..unlike the weak kneed dems. the only legislation they have been able to pass since the election, it seems, in a pay raise.

To be honest, I think McCain is actually very genuine but I think he's gotten caught up in playing politics for the last 5 years or so its turned him into something else. Yes he has flip flopped on issues. I really respected him, but now Im not sure he has what it takes to overcome the beltway shennanigans he's gotten caught up in.
Giuliani is the one that really scares me. He'll look you right in the eye and smile as he's driving a knife into your back. He's from the "old school" of tough politics.

You shouldn't call Hillary a phony. She is a lawyer, and her husband is a former president. Two heads are better than one.
That Obama nut really scares me.... he is just a black looking for a job, and has NO experience in running this country.
The rest of them don't have sense to run anything.

"Obviously, you are a conservative..."
Chi Guy. If we could share stories of how many people have called me a republican/con/neo-con/etc. we would be talking all week.
I don't worry about that. I look for sedition, name calling, rumor mongering, and treating others as "guilty until proved innocent". If the representative does it, they've lost my vote.

All of the cronies running for the democratic nomination are phonies.
I'd take any republican over any democrat. Every democrat candidate SCREAMS ultra left wing liberal socialist. They are anything but moderates. Guiliani seems to be the only moderate of either side.

Ron Paul, mostly because his core followers are the "truther" movement, Internet trolls and anti-establishment types.
