If you have not read this thing, please spend 10 minutes and do a web search on the term, and READ it. You may have a new understanding.

By the way, the reason I didn't provide a link to it is because I wanted people to see how many links there are to it.

It is related to the war in Iraq. Educate yourself.

I have a personal rule of thumb: If you ever get so angry that you feel you have to kill innocent people - ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS start with yourself...

He did it wrong. He killed bunches of innocent people who were minding their own business.
See? Had he have written this letter BEFORE he rejoiced over the death of thousands of innocents, well, I might have been more interested in whatever it was he had to say.

But he is now simply a mass murderer in my eyes. His rantings are no more worthy of my attention than the rantings of Charles Manson.

You have a point to make? Make it. You feel you have to shed blood to be heard? Fine, shed your own dang blood.

But I couldn't care less what important points this murderer brings up in his letter. I don't give a rat's @ss about his opinion. He lost his right to an opinion when he orchestrated multiple acts of terror and bloodshed.

He's just another murderer on the run.

Bin Laden has some legit grips. I looked up a few of his rants, albeit its hard to get through all the religious stuff to get to the meat of what he is griping about.

No I have not read it and I'd say not one in 10,000 Americans have or even know it exists.

What I do know is he is very concerned about the regions future and wants to seriously jack up the price of oil and turn down the spigot because he knows that in 100 years that the oil will dry up and the region will be left with nothing but sand and the people living worse then before.

Makes sense to me.

The problem is, with the west, we simply have not listened. That breeds hatred, contempt and eventual terror.

Regardless of what Bin Laden says, we need to get the hell out of both countries and stop our unabashed support of Israel. That alone would take a lot of wind out of Bin Ladens sails.

Remember, THE WEST IS NOT LISTENING -- we have never really listened. It started with a whisper of complaints, then louder, then louder and louder till finally the temper tantrum of 911 and we are still not listening. What will be the next step?

Scary..................................................................................

Peace

Jim

I have not read his letter. I don't think we should pull out of Afghanistan. I do think we should plan a staged withdrawl from Iraq. But none of that has to do with whatever Bin Laden says -- again, I haven't read it.

Does it matter what he said? No, I haven't read it and don't have the stomach to read it.
The guy masterminded the worst attack to the US in all its history. Shouldn't the American government try to find him and make him accountable for his crime, instead of spending billions of dollars some place else, getting thousands of
innocent people killed in the process? It's common sense.
