If you believe everything that the media tells you. I don't. When they take their surveys they are very careful to pick an area that will give them favorable results. THat is called stacking the deck. I travel all over the country and find that most people think that terrorists need to be eliminated off of the face of the Earth and that they do exist. How could GW have made up the war, when it has been going on for decades, if not centuries. This isn't just an American thing. IT is a global thing. They murder nuns and care workers in other countries. They have murdered women who were helping feed poor people. These terrorists are real and only an idiot out of touch with reality would deny it and try to blame George Bush.

Pretty much correct even though many in the 1/3 against the war drift into the 1/3 making the war up. But I think those were the same percentages for wars like the Revolutionary and Civil. So I still believe in staying the course.

No. I think the dynamics of American public opinion is much more complicated than that.
I think most Americans agree that terrorism needs to be eliminated. Most Americans don't care at this point whether or not Bush made up the war or acted on false intel.
Most Americans seem to agree, however, that the war was mismanaged in DC.

What are you seeking to know? I think the 1/3rd theory is not quite accurate. Because the majority will still support the war effort.
