Stop blaming Bush for every little thing that goes on in this country... It is obvious that when the libs go on their NON-STOP witch hunts that people will of course use the last administration as a comparison. AS IT SHOULD BE. The only reason Clinton did not get the votes to go to trial is because those republicans saw the bigger picture and actually have respect for that office of the Presidency. And YES a BIG difference in Libbies "pardon" vs. Clintons mass exodous of criminals back into society. A presidential pardon is to be used sparingly and in my mind when a punishment does not fit the crime. Can you tell me how many pardons Bush has handed out? (one, and it's not even a full pardon)... Billy on the other hand... a little over 400. Hypocrite? Please...

You just dont seem to understand mister. Why is it wrong if liberals do it? Dont you know that they are the greatest thing for this country since sliced bread what with their advocation our defeat during wartime, insulting and demoralizing our troops, and advocating things like gay marriage and abortion. You, as usual, are missing the entire point. You claimed that Bush hasn't given any pardons - you were completely incorrect Mr. Perfect, I guess you aren't so perfect are you? Also, you claimed that Sen. Clinton is calling for Bush's impeachment? Also complete b.s. Yes, she has criticized Bush, just as most of the country and a good number of Republicans are doing these days - but she has NOT called for his impeachment so why did you claim she has? These two things you wrongly claimed are a perfect example of the Republican tendency these days to make blanket statements they can't back up to try and make themselves look less corrupt.

I've never claimed that Clinton didn't make questionable pardons, he made some VERY questionable pardons. But the point is that it doesn't excuse Bush commuting Libby's sentence so he didn't sing like a bird when he was jailed.
I'm sick of Republicans not taking responsibility for their own decisions, and using misdirection to take the heat off of them by pointing to Clinton. The only reason I included Bush 41's pardoning of five felons involved in Iran Contra is to make the point that every President gives pardons that the other party can scream about until they are blue in the face. IT DOESN'T EXCUSE THEIR OWN ACTIONS AND IT NEVER WILL. History is full of examples of questionable pardons. What earthly good does it do to point to them to excuse a current President? That makes it okay? Sorry, that just doesn't cut it.

Get a clue, the majority of this country is sick to death of President Bush and his corrupt Administration having contempt for the law and the Constitution. You're going to find out just how sick they are of it in November 2008. You have a lot of nerve talking about Democrats not taking responsibility. I'm neither Democrat nor Republican, and the Republicans used to get my vote more often than not. But the stink of corruption coming from the Republicans in D.C. is choking me just as much as it's choking the majority of Americans.

Take some responsibility for the mistakes your party has committed instead of whining that the Democrats never do instead. If one of those two parties would actually take some responsibility for their actions the American people might be able to start respecting them again. Instead of relying on Democrat character assassination and false claims to try and shore up your own problems, a new tactic of actually taking responsibility might give the Republicans a chance in '08.

Truth Seeker, that's a flat out lie. Look into the people Clinton pardoned. Many of them got away scott free for serious crimes. Libbey is paying a $250,000 fine for being the target of a witch hunt.

Libby wasn't pardoned.... I do feel the President was well within his rights and that he do the right thing with regards to Libby.

Bush commuted Libby's sentence (not pardoned, that's much different) in the interest of justice. Clinton pardoned dozens of criminals in the interest of money.
