Is it because they cannot challenge him on the issues? It seems to me the right has run out of ammo and has resorted to name calling and throwing rocks. They insist on repeated pathetic attempts to prey on peoples fears and prejudicies by trying to link him with Islamic fundamentalism. They spell his out his middle name "Hussein" in capitalized letters and ask really stupid questions like; Once he's elected, will we all be forced to learn Arabic, or will he take the presidential oath with his hand on the Koran or will Bin Laden be selected as his VP? I have heard all the asinine statements on here. Barack first of all is Christian, not that matters, but he has fully laid out his agenda on Healthcare, the war, social security, immigration, foreign policy, meeting our future energy needs, ending corruption in Washington, and strengthing family and community. He is completely forthcoming about his plan for America, and yet the cons attack him with outright lies. Why?

Are you talking about Barack HUSSEIN Osama, who attended madrasas in Pakistan? Yeah, that's the guy. His dad is a Muslim terrorist. He murdered his white wife, but the glove didn't fit.
The human animal is instinctively racist (tribal). We only overcome it by making an effort. I don't think most cons ever made that effort, and on this anonymous forum, it's easy to smoke out the conservative bigots with carefully crafted questions.
They'll play the race card Rove style through the elections, and it may work. America is all about color first. As Chris Rock said after 9/11, "First it'll be the Muslims, then it'll be the Mexicans, then it'll be the ni..................."
So far, he's proving prophetic.
Psssssst don't look now, but a fairly eloquent con troll is doing the 'Obama is a Muslim terrorist' shtick right below me...................

The typical right wing tactic is to discredit you opponent so that the facts are totally obscured and people only remember the lies. It was done to John McCain back in 2000 when he was running against Bush. War hero McCain spent time in a Vietnamese prison camp, but Bush's people made him look like a traitor. War hero and purple heart recipient John Kerry ran against Bush in 2004 and was made out to be a faker. The right wingers must be really scared of Obama to be working so hard to discredit him

You said it all. I have not read the Constitution, but I don't believe the Faith or the Religion has any thing to do with the presidency. I my self am half Catholic half Muslim. I do not practise any of them but I still don't Reject any believes. He is Challenging all. As you said his agenda on Health care, the war, social security, immigration, foreign policy, meeting our future energy needs, ending corruption in Washington, and strengthen family and community. He is completely forthcoming about his plan for America. He is going to compromise all the bullshit that the lobbyist's has build for themselves.

Because most of that is coming not from cons, but from trolls. They sit at their keyboards in mom's basement, wallowing in their lameness, finding consolation only in their "cleverness" and the myth of White Superiority.
The way I see it, superior people don't have to lie.
Mostly, they do it to provoke a reaction, "I annoy, therefore I exist," But a lot of it is also fear. Anything that challenges their smug assumptions threatens their already tenuous grip on reality. Real Republicans, and especially Busheviks, don't want to call the Republitrolls on this childish nonsense because they can't afford to alienate yet another constituency.
Besides, they'd really rather not address the issues themselves.
Me, I prefer to think of O'bama as a good Irish lad. One of the Eirach Dubh. And when you think that both major parties consider Irish Americans their Greatest Presidents ever, that's not a bad thing to be.
As far as Muslims using a President to destroy America from within. That paln came to fruition with George W. Bush. The Saudis have sunk enough money into him to own him outright and he has done everything possible is his Presidency to give them their money's worth.

Politicians lie and try to discredit each other before an election? I am sorry to say, but they have been at that for as long as they been politicians.

Who is Barack Obama? A very interesting minute of reading. Probable U. S. presidential candidate, Barack Hussein Obama was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Barack Hussein Obama Sr., a black Muslim from Nyangoma-Kogel, Kenya and Ann Dunham, a white atheist from Wichita,Kansas. Obama's parents met at the University of Hawaii . When Obama was two years old, his parents divorced. His father Returned to Kenya. His mother then married Lolo Soetoro, a radical Muslim From Indonesia. When Obama was 6 years old, the family relocated to Indonesia. Obama attended a Muslim school in Jakarta. He also spent two years in a Catholic school. Obama takes great care to conceal the fact that he is a Muslim. He Is quick to point out that, "I was once a Muslim, but I also attended a Catholic school". Obama's political handlers are attempting to make it appear that Obama's introduction to Islam came via his father, and that this influence is temporary at best. In reality, the senior Obama returned to Kenya soon after the
divorce, and never again had any direct influence over his son's education. Lolo Soetoro, the second husband of Obama's mother Ann Dunham, introduced his stepson to Islam. Obama was enrolled in a Wahabi school in Jakarta . Wahabism is the radical teaching that is followed by the Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad against the western world. Since it is politically expedient to be a Christian when seeking Major public office in the United States, Barack Hussein Obama has joined the United Church of Christ in an attempt to downplay his Muslim background. Let us all remain alert concerning Obama's expected presidential candidacy. The Muslims have said they plan on destroying the US from the inside out, what better way to start than at the highest level. What do YOU think?

If you want to be lied about or descriminated against, support Ron Paul. I do, and I don't care, Ron Paul is for Americans, that's not popular for special interest groups.

I don't care what his religious views are. He's a liberal, and he shares the liberal agenda, which is the downfall of this country. He has little to no chance of winning, so he's really not a factor. Hillary Clinton is the biggest threat to this nation since Soviet Russia. She is my concern. Obama is a mosquito in a hive full of bees.
