I'm asking this because some of my Jewish friends say the holocaust was the most evil thing ever. They believe in something called the doctrine of "singular evil". That just means that that the holocaust was a unique kind of evil. Unlike all the other killing the Jews suffered a singular evil that justifies them stealing a country from the Palestinians. Do you agree?

No.

Slavery occured on all levels - not just to blacks. Slaves are sometimes treated worse then animals and many would prefer death to slavery.

Holocaust victims are just dead.

Jews whine too much. Lock them in the basement and you can have a wine cellar.

I think the holocaust was the most evil thing ever, but I think it is also used in a vile way by attributing it as only victimization of jews, just like slavery is being touted as only a victimization of blacks.
both assumptions are false.

allow me to explain.
The Holocaust was caused by belief in eugenics that was a popular belief all over the world. but only Nazi Germany decided to cleanse the world in a brutal manner following this ideology. They didn't only kill Jews, but also Germans who they felt where genetically flawed, along with gays and dissidents. But while the other people killed are ignored, as if they didn't matter, it is being held as only a victimization of the jews. When in reality, it was a victimization of all Humans. Anyone that didn't match the Eugenics theorists' ideas of genetically fit humans were being conquered, cataloged, and exterminated, with a little forgiveness if you joined the cause.

Slavery, on the otherhand, was mostly promoted by the slave's own people. WHAAAT DID I JUST SAY??! yes when a tribe conquered another, rather than killing them they enslaved them, and sold them to Europeans.
the Europeans didn't only have africans slaves, but Indians, native Americans, and white slaves as well, but its being blown up as only a victimization of Africans. Slavery didn't really become primarily an African thing until late 1800's during the civil war, and into the mid 1900's when hate groups where victimizing people.

Why do you suppose these two evil situations are ignoring the victimization of some of the groups included, dispite historical data?

You are an ignorant moron, aren't you. Read up on the history of Palestine. There never, ever was an independent country called Palestine. It was established by the Romans after the Jewish uprising in the 60s AD. It was captured by the Ottoman Empire, and finally by the British Empire. Can you follow that so far. England owned the land at the end of WWII and gave it for an independent Jewish state. So the owners of the land gave it to the Jews to make their own country. Palestinians never owned the land as an independent country. And yes the Holocaust was worse, it made no economic sense to kill off all the slaves. Try reading some history instead of listening to your KKK Grand Master or whatever he's called.

I think the Holocaust. Slavery happened to may races of people, and the economy was based on slaves getting products to market, but at the same time they were also fed and taken care of to a degree, not that slavery was a good thing but it happened. The holocaust was a terrible act that was started by one man to wipe out a race with no other point to be made, except the perfect race, that will NEVER EXIST.

First of all, evil is a hard term to define. Most German soldiers and guards during the Holocaust were simply following orders. The higher rank told them to kill Jews, so that is what they did. Does that make them evil? That is up to interpretation. Americans during the 1800s viewed slaves as property who were cursed by God for being of the race that descended from Noah's bad son who looked at him naked. Does that make them evil?

If I had to choose, I would say that the holocaust is more evil because it involved the systematic slaughter of an entire group of people. The slave owners, for the most part, had no desire to hurt their slaves. Most American slave owners were only in it for money. They did not want to hurt their slaves because a hurt slave could not pick as much cotton. Slave owners were more greedy than Hitler, but Hitler was more evil.

The holocaust was the most evil thing ever, maybe you should read up on it.
Even the slaves would have agree that they never suffer that kind of evil suffering.
People were gassed with a nerve gas and left to slither in terrible pain all over each other they were packed so tight until they died.
The Nazi guards even got sick from seeing it.
That's how bad it got.
Could you imagine seeing men women and children suffer like that.

Slavery is more evil to the slaves, and the holocaust is more evil to its victims. Maybe the rwandan genocide was even more evil, but especially to those who suffered because of it. And just because you or your people suffer, it never justifies inflicting further human suffering. It just adds more flames to the fire of the messed up world we live in.

Slavery is worst, in a way that it affect a broader base. But I do understand the Jews, as their number was not very high, and Hitler henchman have killed a large portion of their global population. But slavery is getting more sophisticated everyday, and peoples don't even notice it... For me, its the worst thing, as it will affect my childs. The Holocaust got his time, and is now thing of the past... What is concerning me today, is tomorrow!!

First of all, the answer is both. However, I read a lot of books on the holocaust, and I was just shocked. So I would recommend you reading the book called "Night" by Ellie Wiesel. It's my favorite book just because its so well written and you can't put it down because the book is about the Holocaust.
