I grew up in the 60s in Liverpool, UK which was as badly damaged as London in World War 2. I played in houses that had been bombed, walked on beaches that still had barbed wire on to prevent the enemy disembarking boats. I played in shelters which housed the Army. Built on sand, they had tiny slits just big enough for a machine gun to fire from and protect our shore. Fortunately the enemy never set foot on our shore but we knew why, we took the war to them, the war was fought on the offensive. I know this is a different type of war, we cannot identify the enemy but the ideals of Hitler were just as mad. Hitler could have been stopped years before but the world did not take his threat seriously.
The middle east has long been a threat to global peace, I wonder why the Coalition is largely made up of the same few countries that fought for peace in WW2 more than I question George W's motives & policies. I think a lot of +45 people feel the same but clearly you may prove me wrong :)
