The people of katrina were given debit cards to get their lives back together. Not all but many of these people went to strip clubs, bars and casinos and never bothered to help there children get their lives back together. I am a single mother who had lung surgery. Money was tight. We lived off daughter child support. My furnice broke down. I did not have the money to repair it. I called the county for assistance and was told all the federal grant money this years is being sent to help the victims of Katrina. So I had to skip a car pmt to pay for my furnice to be fixed. I think the Katrina victimes have been helped enough, and there are others who need help besides them. Do you agree? I spent over 30 days in hosp and fell behind on mortage so called the company. Was told only those who were in Katrina can get an special extention and lowere payments and lower interest rates. Do youy think that is fair?

The people of palestine are suffering , even the children and women, Now by freezing up the international aid ,what else the palestinian peolple are supposed to do.,I think the US has double standards in dealing with other countries issues. they have different yard sticks.

Health issues aside :
Do you think continuing to raise taxes on cigarettes is fair to smokers? Isn't it discrimination? Why not tax toilet paper? Something EVERYONE uses.

First of, Republicans love to say they are the party of "facts" and that they don't go by their emotions "like the liberals do"...

yet they say and believe things like:

"Terrorists attacked us because we are free"

"The Iraq War has stopped the terrorists from attacking us again"/"We're fighting them over there, instead of over here"/"We haven't been attacked since, have we?"

And every assorted "liberals kill babies, burn flags, live on welfare, etc."... which I do none of...

It just all seems to be emotional blurbs that have no facts behind them... anyone care to share some facts... maybe cite some sources... clear some things up for me...

and if these are common sense... then they should be really easy to back up and cite...

Why is bieng Caucasion and proud of it mean your rascist ? All the time you hear of Blacks, Mexicans and so forth hollaring Racism, But I have yet to hear the white race hollar it....Blacks are just or more racist then we are, even though wont admit to the fact. For instance, The Federal Government signed into law that all retired law enforcment officers in good standing could carry a concealed weapon in the United States as long as they followed all of the rules, Why then will states not issue National Concealed Weapons permits? Is it because the Government left out who would be liable if an shooting took place and who would be liable?

I know that Belarus is a very poor country and I have met quite a few teenagers from there ( they were all part of an ophanage) in Italy ( they were actually staying in Italy for a few months thanks to some generous people)..
Anyhow the point is, are all belarussians poor? Of course some have money, but looking at the economic state of the country, the corruption of the government and everything else, could it be said that maybe around 98% of the population suffers poverty? And will it ever change

I'm talking about the present. I would like serious answers and why. I just want to remind everyone that over in the middle east, when there is an American prisoner, they are usually tortured than killed. Sometimes when they are killed they are put on the internet with their head coming of their neck. I know what the US soldiers did to some of their prisoners and it was stupid, but lets be real people, who are the real ruthless people?
