Well, no not really. When he aint president he's spending his time playing cowboy, clearing brush on his fake ranch in Crawford, TX. Also he was governor of Texas before running for president. That's where the impression comes from.

President Bush is not considered a good old Texan, but he is considered "a good 'ole boy"! That is a "nick name" given to certain people here in Texas, and it isn't necessarily a compliment. So maybe you should look it up! .......and what is "when he ain't being president, he's livin' in good old Connecticut" mean? President Bush has been holding some type of political office for almost 16 years! He was the Governor of the State of Texas for I think 8 years which means he was living in Austin, Texas in the Governor's Mansion....... then he ran for president and he is now considered a lame duck so he has been in office almost another, ummm, 8 years....and I just don't believe he was residing in the C then either....Still, I hope and pray that his next home after leaving the white house is somewhere far away from Texas, and I think far away would be Connecticut!
The "good ole' boys" are very wealthy men, and they have always been politically connected, they help other GOB's get elected to office and in return they receive some form of favor...but because they have such a wide network of people nothing would ever appear to be inappropriate. GOB's are gentlemen around ladies but they aren't gentle men. They get governors, judges, Justices, Senators, Congressmen and of course, Presidents elected. They know how to win and who to smear and they help each other make more money, elect more "friends" and then help their "friends" in any way necessary, no matter what the cost. They never tell and they must have invented flim flam. It's all about the profit, the scam, the flim flam, and the shuffle. Bush a good old Texan? Not.......but he is the "ultimate poster boy" for the good ole' boys and I think it's great that he's going to be livin' in good old Connect-i-cut!

His aids probably thought Texas would be good to associate himself with because of the large number of conservatives living there.
