What sad answers. Do you realize how unfeeling and cold your answers are. How can you pass a law and make it OK for some doctor to puncture a hole in your babies head, suck its brains out and kill him or her and then pull the dead child out and tell me that is acceptable. You are the same people that want to put someone in jail for being inhumane to animals. Now I think they are both wrong but I do think the first is a sin. That same child once it is born alive if you smothered it because you did not want it you would go to jail. Now tell me what is the difference. Either way it is a living human being. A child in the womb cannot live if the mother does not take care of herself and eat properly in other wards you have to take care of it, a baby has to be taking care of by the mother or someone who cares. They are both still life, why should it be legal to throw an unborn child away. The funny thing is there was a man here in NC that took an animal,cut the unborn pups out and killed them the out cry was loud. But those same people who were appalled at this would not blink when the same thing is done to a human being.
Please people wake up, you should not have the RIGHT to kill a child any child. If you do not want children use a condon, the pill, abstanance & if you get pregnant take care of that child and when it is born give it up for adoption, they at least deserve that.

Personally, I am against abortion but I feel it is the right of any Woman to have a choice. I wish you would have phrased your question in a better way.
You have to be a Republican to have asked the question the way you did. Neither Democrats or Republicans kill babies. It's a choice made by a Woman and not political parties or the Supreme Court who voted to let the Law stand.
Many of the answers posted to this question, are ridiculous.

They don't do it themselves but what is probably happening is they are getting funded from lobbyist groups and that is where they are getting their campaign money. The money has to come from somewhere, so why not that.
It really is hard to decide which way to go with things like being a Republican, Democrat, Liberals or Conservative. I have 4 kids and would never think of getting an abortion or for my girls to ever have an abortion, but I also don't want the government to tell me that I can't do it if I did. Now when it comes to the stem cell research, that I do have a very big problem with. I would donate my umbilical cord blood for research because there wasn't life left attached to it, but I would never give my eggs or have my husband give his sperm for the making of an embryo. Once those meet, there is a person. I don't know if its Rep. or Dem. that wants that one done, but either way, I don't like it. Thanks for listening, or reading, my rant. Hell at this point, I don't know if I answered your question.

Because the abortion industry makes them a lot of money. A lot of contributions to the democrats come from Planned Parenthood and other clinics. Follow the money.

I don't kill babies, you do. Kill them with hate, starvation, abandonment, war. The concept of the "babykilling liberals" is why let the children suffer when you can end their misery before it begins? The Cancervative mindset is why end their suffering when it hasn't begun? That has to be the mindset of someone who could dare to undermind and judge a rape victim.

They choose to kill rather than adoption.
They call it pro choice - what kind of choice is that for the baby.
I know "fetus" - I never met an expectant mother that said" I am going to have a fetus". It has always been "I am going to have a baby".

Sigh. As a conservative republican, I'd have to say that no democrat I know of like to kill babies. In fact, no one I'm aware of that has had an abortion "liked" it and wouldn't have preferred another option. I am pro choice as are most of those of whom I believe you speak. I know of no one who is pro abortion. They are pro choice. Perhaps you need to know your terminology and the definitions before you say such foolish, insulting things.
