Probably the sponsorship scandal but the Conservatives and the Bloc inflated it more so they can further their causes. Money did go into hands of Liberal friendly ad agencies but it wasn't Martins fault as he was not aware. Chretien was pulling the strings but I think it was mainly bureaucrats that were involved.

I remember reading about this convent that was absolutely horrible to the kids. This was like back in the 50s and years later some of the kids came forward and it was a big scandal.
