As Cheney's chief of staff, one can only presume he did not badger the CIA for information about Plame on his own. Who ordered him to do it ? We have an investigation under Waxman looking into this issue as well. Can Cheney become a target ?

Harvard and liberal Ivy League schools could give a crap about helping our military have top-notch leaders.

Harvard, etc. are proud to kick ROTC OFF OF THEIR CAMPUSES. Obama was a top Harvard man.

Obama, Kerry, and Kennedy do NOTHING to help our future military officers.

That is sad, given the voice they have in Mass. And, it's worse because Democrats like Hillary and Obama could be president.

I have seen a lot of attacks on Bush's policies but I have yet to here a viable solution to the current situation. Are they going to tell us what this plan of theirs is or are they going to keep it as a carrot on a stick until they are elected and then tell us.

I just read Sarkozy's interview with the International Herald Tribune. He based his ideas on geographical context.

I want honest ideas, please. If, geographically speaking, Southern Cyprus is considered European, how come Turkey is considered Asian?

In cultural context, if Greece, which was part of the same empire that Turkey was, is considered European, how come Turkey is considered not?

In religious context, if Muslims, Jews, atheists and agnostics living in "Christian" Europe are considered European, how come Turkey's Muslims, Jews, Christians, atheists and agnostics are considered not European?

why can't South Africans emigrate to UK as freely as Indians, Pakistanis and Nigerians?
There is a British High Commission in Pretoria so presumably South Africa is now regarded as a commonwealth country.

The UN hotly debates all these resolutions, like getting Iran and North Korea to halt their nuclear programs and such, but seems to make only toothless threats if they are not followed. It seems the UN has little or no enforcing power whatsoever and quite frankly, it seems to me to be nothing more than an illusion presented to less powerful countries to make them think they have serious sway in major world decisions. What do you think?

I am just wondering about this. It seems that because of our relationship with Isreal, the Arab countries all hate us. I think our protection of Isreal is why all the Arab countries hate us so much. I think Isreal doles out as much or more of the violence that is happening there, and I just don't understand why the United States protects them.

seem to know what to do, nor do they seem very caring in their display of characters in Congress? It is a lot of the story of huffing and puffing and then saying we want to blow the fires out and the others are huffing and puffing and want to blow the house down?

Some political observers argue that most of the political power and authority should remain at the federal (national) level. Others argue that the balance of power is currently swinging toward state and local governments, and they welcome this change. Which level of government is more effective? Why? Which level should have the most power? Why?

Regardless of your political or wordly views I just want a simple reply: Who would win the war if the United States and Iran went toe to toe. Just a simple response will do i.e. Iran would win it in five days flat or I don't know will suffice...spare me anything else, thanks.
