I am just wondering about this. It seems that because of our relationship with Isreal, the Arab countries all hate us. I think our protection of Isreal is why all the Arab countries hate us so much. I think Isreal doles out as much or more of the violence that is happening there, and I just don't understand why the United States protects them.

You are mistaken, they would hate us even if there was no Israel.

Russia doesn't protect Israel, they hate Russia, ask why? The people you speak of in the Arab nations hate everyone who is not like them, it's that simple.

Most people in the Arab world don't really hate anyone, they just want to live better lives.

The Jews have big money and two cents in our politics. They don't need our help, they can kick *** all day long. I think of Isreal as friend, but the Palestinians, Arabs and Persians should be our friends too. We favor the strong over the meek. Remember this,
as long as the Arabs turn their anger toward Isreal and each other
their leaders can keep screwing them. If everybody is held down, focused on the Zionist threat, we swoop in and buy resources cheap from their corrupt, tyrannical, leaders. Its all about the dollar $

Never on my life will I sign a petition to halt the protection of Israel. We might help Isreal with aid & maybe selling arms to them, but I believe that Israel can take care of itself, thank you. If I remember right, Israeli Arabs have as many or nearly as many rights as a Jewish Israeli.

There is a bigger picture involved that you may not be seeing. We are despised not just because we support Israel. We are hated because we are free agents to worship God & live our lives as we see fit. That contradicts Islam's requirements to submit to Allah. Our system of government offers us freedoms that are foreign concepts to most of the Arab world. We are the most powerful country in the world. Many elements envy us for that power, but it will come with a price for most of the world. That will be the loss of freedom as we know it.

The Arab countries hated us long before the creation of Israel. The leaders of Arab countries use Israel as a scapegoat; they leave their citizens in complete poverty but they blame Israel for their fate.

The Arabs wrote a threatening letter to President Andrew Jackson which contained most of the same threatening language as you would see today in an Al Quaida video.

I would not sign the petiton. Israel has done a lot of work for the USA and we should be appreciative.

I would not give the terrorists apologists the satisfaction of thinking their grievances are legitimate.

They have been our Ally, just about the only one in the Middle East, for years. I have news for you, Arab countries will still hate us even if we ditch Isreal. As long as America stays America, we will be hated by someone.

No. If you think that that is the only reason that Arab countries hate us, guess again. I don't agree with why they hate us for the most part. But there is more to it than just that.

The arabs would hate us anyway, they hate anyone who isn't a muslim. As far as our protecting Israel, it is the right thing to do. As a christian country we have been blessed. As a Christian country it is our duty to protect Israel. Not a Christian, then it is our moral duty to protect them period. Any country that has the wealth and power of the US is morally obligated to stop genocide which is what the Muslim world would like to do to the Jews. Could you stand by and watch the killing of another 6 million men, women and children do to bigotry? No I would not sign a petition and I would hope you wouldn't either.

No! The Arab countries are primarily to blame for the horrors you see in the middle east. Israel has tried again and again to live peacefully with them and they utterly refuse to accept it. If Israel dissappeared tommorrow the countries of the Middle East would still hate us because we are not an Islamic nation and they want Islam to rule the world. Israel is the only friend the US has on Earth!

I feel Israel never should have given in to suggestions to give the Palestinians The Gaza Strip! It was never theirs! The Palestinians (wandering Bedouins before settling) worked in Israel and came to live in Palestine they do not have ancestral roots in Israel! Israel belongs to the Jews. They cannot appease the Palestinians any more than the Shites and Sunnies are going to come to the drawing board! America needs Israel, Israel needs America look at the Geography.
