We vote for someone who will not be that same "someone" once they have met the lobbyists and military contractors.

If you trace back the histories of many of America's Senators, Represententatives and Judges, you will find that they have or had many ties to corporate America. Some still have direct ties while others own significant stock interests. Not only that, boards of corporations as well as large and elite universities have vast influence in Washington D.C., more so than the average person.

Do you really think the Middle Eastern people are poised with their clickers pointed at American televisions? Or that the troops are watching anything beyond a slanted view of why we are fighting Iraq in the midst of its civil war? Since when do two wrongs (encouraging a war with a country that never attacked us and distracting ourselves from the realterrorists elsewhere because we have our forces and intelligence centralized in one area) make a right (supporting the troops)? Of course I support the troops and their families. This DOES NOT MEAN I have to support the administration or the war. In no way am I "encouraging the enemy" and yet I hear this phrase thrown about without abandon all the time. The enemy is building up nuclear weapons caches and spreading its factions further through Lebanon, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, North Korea, Africa, China and elsewhere while our President is attacking a country we were never under threat of attack from. This is a fallacy of justice.

Well son, that's because they are anarchists who believe in marxism. They think this country is evil because of our capitalist system and aggresive foreign policy. The hate the military and claim to be anti-war and non-violent, but then break the law and instigate confrontations with police offers who are just doing their job. Unfortunately, the hippie generation that pressured the government to withdraw from Vietnam which caused the collapse of the South Vietnamese government and led millions of Cambodians to the killing fields, are alive today in so-called social progessives. They also want a premature withdrawal, which would inevatibly cause a catastrophic civil war and allow tyrannical countries in the region to gain more influence and power. All this stems from a movement of Marxist in our country who want the US to lose it's domininance over the world in order for a global socialist government to evolve. A USA win, is a lost for them, irrespective of their American Citizenship.

The Constitution says that Congress shall delcare war. It doesn't say that Congress can give the President the authority to declare war. Have all of those who voted for the war powers act violated the Constitution? When politicians say that they wouldn't have voted to give authority to Bush if they knew then what they know now, is that really an excuse? The Constitution is now what it was then. Shouldn't the fact that they all violated the Constitution be the issue?

The US constitution makes it perfectly clear that ONLY Congress can declare war. When Congress voted to authorize George Bush to decide if and when to go to war, they violated their oaths to sustain, uphold and defend the Constitution. Hillary Clinton violated the Constitution and her oath when she voted to allow Congress to run from their responsibility. Now she can say that she wouldn't have voted to authorize this war if she knew then what she knows now. That is not a defense. The US Constitution has not changed since she voted.
It is our responsibility as citizens in this Democracy, to defend our Constitution. We cannot continue to allow elected officials to subvert the authority of our Constitution. Without the Constitution, we are nothing.

does that mean they are 'mentally challenged' or have a learning disability?

Here is an example:
Someone on this link (I won't specify who) has been told over and over that the "mission accomplished" sign, meant (as Bush even stated) the capture of Saddam. Bush clearly stated that there was a long and hard road ahead.

so if someone like this still goes around making the same comments and questions regarding "mission accomplished", would that mean they must be weak minded somehow, and does it prove how no matter what the facts are, liberals will blindly repeat their rhetorical lies?

These days in many places I hear people talking about Iran. Many I've seen do not agree destroying the economy of Iran. Some say no because they believe attacking Iran will change the economy of the whole world, some say no because they think in wars people will be caused pain and trouble. And Iranians are friendly people who should not be caused such things.
Now I have a question: will the free people of US let their government attack Iran?
Will it be finished with peace and freedom or it will end by war, death and many disadvantages for both countreis?

Why is it so hard for some to see what is really going on in the world? Do they not realize that we truly are in danger?

I honestly believe that their hatred for our President and republicans is so profound that they cannot see what is happening. Do some of you not realize that we need to fight against terrorists? Do you think we can negotiate with them? Well, history has proven that they cannot be negotiated with. Are some of you not afraid of what might become if we tuck in our tails and give in?

i read it and originally thought it was almost perfect.
but then, i read it again recently and realized that the 100 people who were supposedly screwing up america were all anti-semites or anti-bush.

the main message of the book seemed to be "anyone who dislikes bush is screwing up america because i am a jew and bush gives me millions per year. "

anyone agree? anyone disagree?
