Who is going to pay for this grand government health care scheme, and why would anyone in their right mind want the United States Government to fix anything? After they have been taking Social Security from you (under penalty of law) since the 1940's and now they say they can't afford to even keep that going enough to pay out the citizens after another 10-20 years? You can open an IRA and do better than that!
Do you remember the government's response to Katrina? the Tsunami in Indonesia?
Who gets to pay for all of this and how will that be accomplished?
Our health care costs are already too high because we (the American's) pay higher drug prices for the free medicines that are given out in other countries!
Who gets to pay for it all?

What are your suggestions for replacing our dependence on oil? I know we cannot completely do away with oil, but we could limit our use, so what are our alternatives?

Do you believe that when someone works hard to make the money that they do, they should be required to pay extra taxes to give to those that didn't do the things to make a good living?

I don't go along with all this spread the wealth horse menure. I work hard...I study hard...why should I have to "spread the wealth" with those that are too lazy to do the same?

No I don't think so. I worked for everything that I have. If I can do it, anyone can.

Apathy towards governments & politics & politicians, ignore them do NOT vote for them and they might go away and get proper jobs.

small self ruling communities are the way ahead for us not bigger and more powerful governments.

Apathy towards being controlled by viciously minded governments who want constant power over us.

Not to take part in their elections and system is freedom!

Right or wrong? agree or disagree?

The question was:

If we could achieve peace would the free economy that this would create ensure that everyone in the rest of the world had enough to eat?

The question failed for 5 reasons.

Britain didn’t understand the concept of “Achieve”
The Middle East didn’t understand the concept “Peace”.
The Soviets didn’t understand the concept of “Free Economy”
Africa did not understand the concept of “Enough to Eat”

And finally:

America didn’t understand the concept of “Rest of The World”

I am in graduate school in the nyc area in political science, but i am the only conservative in pretty much all of my classes. 20% of my grade is participation, but I feel discouraged to participate. The prof and other students (it's a real small class) seem annoyed with me and even mock me at times. I am usually the only person that will challenge people's opinions on Chavez, the Canadian health care system, or pulling the troops out of iraq immediately. The students seem to have all grown up in a very similar environment, get their news from Jon Stewart, and all have the same opinions and talking points. I don't mind debating them because that is one great aspect about political science, but it seems to be getting borderline personal in some of their responses to me. Should I just keep my mouth shut and hope my grade turns out ok? Remember, in grad school I have to get at least a B, so 20% is a lot!

With all of the laws surrounding incitement to this and that.... can any of us really say what we're thinking anymore? If so are we now losing our democratic rights? The very thing we are fighting for on other countries behalfs.

Iraq isn't even in the top ten list of oil exporting countries, but Iran is the fourth... Why didn't Bush go after Iran then? HMMMMMM?

Iraq does have a large reserve though, but not the largest.

That's what the gambling bill, published yesterday, will do.
The major cultural impact of the Blair era becomes the transformation of Britain into the offshore Las Vegas of Europe. No other EU countries are letting them in!.This is clearly to be the final nail in the coffin for UK society as the British Govt. blindly go full to the hilt up the backside of Bush's America. Australia has long been USA 's willing whore, and has reaped the devastating social consequences, now it is Britain's turn to finalise their allegiance in all that the USA aspire to, by permitting these vice dens to exist. You all will deeply regret this !!

Obviously the situation there is getting worse since Bush choosed to send more troops and thus following the plan called "go long"(needless to explain what the plan does mean).

What I think about the war is that the americans are invaders, the agressors. They started the war and everyone starting a war is guilty and have to be punished. Its not Saddam...its Bush and the troops killing for money. They all have to go to jail or death sentence. Not sad...but true :).
