I don't believe they care about them at all, if you mean activists and politicians.
the politicians care about no one but themselves, that's all politicians.
activists are just fanatics who will exploit anything or anyone for "their cause".

There are 2 different issues in your question. Support for the President and support for the troops. I do believe that you can support the troops without supporting the President or his policies. The proper way to show this would be stating I don't agree with the war, but I do believe that we can win.
The problem where support for the troops are concerned is a matter of ideological viewpoint. I do believe that most liberals believe that they support the troops because they are against anyone dying for a cause they don't support. However, I do not believe you can honestly say you support the troops if you do not believe they can accomplish their mission under any circumstances. This is the biggest problem with the liberal position. They believe we have already lost and that nothing can change this fact. To hold this opinion shows that you have no faith in the ability of the troops in general and that your support is contingent merely on the outcome you desire no matter what the overall consequences of a loss might be.

Dude, stop getting your news from Fox! Most liberals I know(and I know a lot of them) support the troops. They're our friends and families too; we don't want to see them die. It's just the politics of this Administration that we oppose. Policies which needlessly put our brothers and sisters in harms way without a good explantion or roadmap for victory.
And if the Pentagon cares about the troops so much why do they turn down the anti RPG devce the Israeli's created when it could protect our soldiers right now? Is that supporting the troops?

I care about getting the troops home so that I can hang out with them and buy those hard working men and women a round at the bar. Where as the president is ok with keeping them in a place where they have a very high chance of getting killed. So if I'm the bad guy for wishing they where safe and sound at home then guess I'll just have to be a bad guy.

Well boo-hoo if the troops feel bad as you state. I was a "troop" too, and knew enough about life to carry out my mission no matter what the press or public said, good or bad. If you know some people who are so worried about name calling of someone they don't even know, maybe they don't belong in a firefight.

Not me.......All the liberals and democrats care about is furthering their own agenda.
I read not too long ago where someone had asked why so many muslims hate America. The answer from a Muslim was very illuminating. They don't like the morality of Americans and how they try to impose their culture and beliefs where it is not wanted. They went on to show how it is the liberal mindset and morality that makes Americans so repulsive. Muslims do not believe in abortion. They have a strong sense of religious belief and it is a part of everyday life. They do not see much religious belief in America. They consider America to be sexually bankrupt and depraved. Sex is openly flaunted. Nudity is common place. Authority is ridiculed here. They said that President Clinton was an adulterer and the public worshipped him.
This is what the liberals have brought us.

If they are that easily hurt, quite frankly, what are they doing in the army???? Only an idiot expects everybody to agree with them.
I'm a liberal, and I absolutely support our TROOPS (in fact, I volunteer at a USO). I do NOT support the president or his policies regarding Iraq, however; the best thing we can do for our troops is to get them the hell OUT of that place. I hate seeing those kids leave for Iraq, because I know some of them aren't coming back. They will never hear it from ME or anybody else at the USO, though, because I care about THEM. Caring about the troops and detesting the idiot in the White House are NOT mutually exclusive - if you think they are, then you need to grow up some.

I am sure there are many people that believe and care about our troops, even some of our politicians. I know we as a country is divided on this but not to care and be grateful for what they are giving up is really hard for me to understand even if they don't agree with the reason they are there. Personally I prefer they fight there and not in our streets with the enemy and if we run out on this war that will happen.

I do not believe that they really give a crap about any body. I think the war was nessesary but they went about it the wrong way. Did they give us a warning they were goin to come over here and kill our people? Did they tell us they were goin to fly planes into the Towers and into the Pentagon. I believe we should have hit them like they hit us. Not give them warning and blow the crap out of them. Then our TROOPS would not be there. I think the whole system is screwed up. My little brother is over for his 3rd tour already and everytime I here of a helo a tank,a bomb I get sick at my stomach. They need to finish it and bring our troops home. I believe it has a lot to do with wanting power, oil and who knows what else. They need to let them fight there own fight and take care of our country first. GOD BLESS AMERICA AND GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!!!!!!!!!!

Some do, most don't. I watched Alan Colmes (liberal) turn off another Liberals microphone because he was calling our troops killers. He is and always has been adamantly against the war, but will not allow anyone to slam the soldiers. I will listen to him and his point of view (which I rarely agree with) because of that. I f all Liberals were like him they would have some valid points, but too many are just over-educated idiots, with no common sense, no idea of reality. Most will learn as they get out of college and meet the real world

Bush should spend a complete month in Bagdad and experience himself whats going on there! Let him lead the troops into battle and accompany the 21.000 new troops he plans on sending, since he's the Commander in Chief .. He can have his VP run the country while he's away ducking suicide killers out there !
