should citizenship preference be given to the neediest applicants? the richest? the poorest?


Should applicants from certain countrries be given priority?

hm.. i'd like great answers on here. not arrogant or ignorant ones! =)

I believe all immigrants should be self supporting and not reliant on government hand outs....
This is a requirement for other countries and should be a standard here.

We should give favor to those who will add to our country, not take from it.

When hiring someone for a job, do you hire the person who needs the money the most, or the person who will add value to your company?

We are a country, not a charity. We give billions in charitable donations every year. When it comes to granting citizenship, we should only allow those who have something to bring to the table.

We have enough American-born people in this country who are complete slackers and takers. We don't need any more.

No one person should be given preferance to citizanship in our great country. Our founding fathers came here for equality! Free to do as we please! But I do think that we should make it a requirement that they work not be on welfare! Other than that All are welcome.

no person that is in our country illegally should ever be offered citizenship...they have shown they have no respect for our laws therefore our country and what we stand for..... regardless the number of anchor babies they have produced!
