why are there so many so keen to deny freedom of speech on matters of fact in all manner of subjects posted by eloquent, knowledgeable intellectuals, and why do some feel the need to suggest they have a postgraduate degree in politics when clearly they are expressing their own inferiority

It should.

Why don't you stop wishing we had canada's crappy socialist health care plan, and put 20-30 percent of your income towards your own. Canadians pay between 40-50 percent of their income for taxes.

I've heard Lindsay Graham and other rightcolumn members repeatedly stall for time "till General Petraeus returns" for his report.

Are we supposed to think it's acceptable for our young men to die while the General won't pick up a phone or use his computer connection to "give his report"? Why are the Republicans stalling on this issue. Was it the promise of oil to Halliburton's subsidaries?

I've always had this doubt since i was a child, simple as this, America is a continent, the ones from Mexico, Argentina, Perú, Brasil,Cuba, Paraguay etc WHAT WE ARE? WE ARE AMERICANS TOO.

Europe is a continent, a French, a Spanish, a Croatian, a German, a Portuguese are Europeans.

why the ones who born in th USA have the only right to caring this title "Americans"?

wouldn't be better United states citizens or something like that?

and be Americans all together(north, center, south) for been born in the new continent.
Thanks for your answer.

George W. Bush put a stop on Partial Birth Abortion. His Patriot Act has stopped many of Terrorist Plots. My hard earned money goes a bit further. The Unemployment rate is down lower than it has been in years. The Democrats have been after him since day one, calling him Hitler, murderer, idiot, etc., yet he has held his temper and has kept them at bay. The two Supreme Court Judges he appointed was also a good thing.

March 25,1982 is when Kennesaw passed a law requiring all heads of house hold to have at least one gun in their home.It was followed by a dramatic drop in crime. This was in response to Marton Grove,IL passing a law that banned handgun ownership and the crime rate increased afterward.
Why is the media not zeroing in on Kennesaw. This is hard evidence that an armed citizenry is the best way to fight crime.
Also note that both of these towns are roughly the same size and have the same population. So the number of people can't be used against Kennesaw.I'm not saying we should have mandatory gun ownership nation wide, you also have the right not to bear armes. But I do think strict gun control is not the way to go either.
Most would think a pro-gun nut like myself would use the lenient gun laws in Switzerland as an example, but I think its best to use a place in my own country as one.
I also don't see evidence that gun control lowers crime. Do you agree?

I am tired of hearing stuff like this, we are not all the same. If you don't think your different from someone willing to strap a bomb to his chest and blow himself up than your nuts. We are different. We may all bleed if cut, but we do not all share the same values and morals. There is no understanding or living with someone willing to kill themselves and others so easily. We put away murderers for thinking the same way, why are we so quick to not judge muslims who do the same thing???

Loads will say we don't care if Clinton had an affair with Lewinsky, well he did more than that, he was asked under Oath if he did it or not.

He lied under Oath saying he didn't do it.

Did you know lying under Oath is a crime? it's called perjury and it doesn't matter what you lied about, the fact is if a regular person like you and me lied under Oath, we would be convicted felons, even Mark Furhman is a convicted felon for deying under Oath that he had ever addressed someone as the N word.

But oh Bill Clinton is so holy I guess that he can't be held to the same standard as Mark Furhman was held to.

Conservatives are conservative 365 days per year but Liberal Democrats are liberal only 364 days per year. The day Liberals Demorats file their income tax returns, they act like Conservatives by claiming all of the available tax exemptions and deductions.

Claiming exemptions and deductions is a Conservative trait.

I think this is hypocritical. If you want bigger government, then pay for it.

I think if you are part of the political party (Democrats) that "believes" in a bigger government and "believes" in raising taxes, then you should also "believe" in paying for it.

Come on you Liberals Democrats, step up to the plate and stop acting like Conservatives. Pay the full tax owed on your income tax returns without taking any tax exemptions or deductions. The extra money you send to the government I'm sure will be wisely spent (your belief not mine).

The US Government: has military bases (violating the soveriegnty of other nations, making them our vassals), tortures and holds indefinitely for no apparent reason its own and others' citizens at Camp X-Ray. Has international institutions (IMF, WTO, World Bank, USAID) that work to harm the poor and prop up regimes that torture and murder their own citizens. Arrests people for showing up to a Bush rally wearing an antiwar t-shirt but protects pornography as "free speech". The last two elections were stolen.

WE have become the evil empire. Is it a situation of power corrupts? Are all countries THIS evil? Its happening here, people. Our democracy is whithering away and dying before our very eyes! Does it happen everywhere? Is there some kind of cycle where countries get hijacked by evil people and then everyone rises up to fight them and then the scum slowly rises to the top to begin the cycle anew?

Or are you going to pander to the loosing left and say happy holidays to cover all of the holidays that are in the December month.
Only a brainwashed political correct person would control your speach by require you to say Happy Holidays --before Christmas.
I have see WHITEY curl up and go doo-doo in his pants at the mere thought of being called a racist - and being linked to the KKK at the mere thought of saying a MERRY CHRISTMAS wish to another person.
So remember if someone says Happy Holidays ( BEFORE ) Christmas they are sheep controlled be the PC crowd.

I don't wholeheartedly believe that they planned 9/11, but I do have my suspicions because it was downtown Manhattan that was bombed. They probably were deciding between NYC or San Fran. I don't think they would have let Dallas or Houston be hit.
I've also read that the per capita security budget for Wyoming is higher than for NYC. Not surprised here.

There in Ukraine occur such bad things as corruption at every level of state authority, politicians think only about their portfolios and powers. They concern themselves mostly in looting and plundering the state treasury using their privileges of parliaments as a cover. I understand that this process is inevitable, but how much time will it take for Ukraine to become truly democratic nation like other countries in Western Europe and USA?
