Sure would be a fun question to ask any President, I wonder if any have every actually visited on-site. I know if I became President, and they asked me what would be the first thing I'd like to do, would be "lets go visit Area 51". :D

There are congressmen and senators that have been in Washington for 40 years or more. They are completely out of touch with Americans. Senators were supposed to be appointed by governors, meaning they would be out every time a new governor was elected, and congressmen were supposed to leave their hometown for 2-4 years to REPRESENT in DC, then go home.

What happened? Would we be better off with term limits? Are these people completely out of touch?

Yes or No

Someone else posed the question about removing God from the pledge, this could have the effect of implying that the pledge was originally written as it is recited today. Actually, the pledge has gone through a few revisions, including inserting the word "God" into it for political purposes.

Should the pledge have ever been revised to begin with ?

(actually, feel free to elaborate after you have given a yes or no answer -- after all this is still a free country !)

I'm starting to think yes, and that race pimps like Sharpton, Jackson and the pandering politicians who think blacks can't succeed without the nanny hand of government are relics of a bygone era more than anything else.

just because someone was born in another country then 5 minutes later came to the U.S. is not allowed to be president. There is nothing that keeps a native born citizen who has spent 90% of their time out of the country, from being president. I think people who oppose changing the law havn't thought it through. The law is outdated and hypocritical. It was written when it took 6 months or more to cross the atlantic, Canada was still part of the UK and noone expected a south american would have a chance. I'm not suggesting that Arnold Schwartenegger would be a good president, but there are plenty of others who could be.
