Yes or No

Someone else posed the question about removing God from the pledge, this could have the effect of implying that the pledge was originally written as it is recited today. Actually, the pledge has gone through a few revisions, including inserting the word "God" into it for political purposes.

Should the pledge have ever been revised to begin with ?

(actually, feel free to elaborate after you have given a yes or no answer -- after all this is still a free country !)

Yes. the real plege of allegiance says this:
"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands; one nation, under GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Yes it should have been inserted and needs to stay there. This country was founded on religion. We have started to take God out of so many places and now Satanic evil forces are overtaking this country. Look at all the evil attacking families and our children. Why do you think this is? Look what happened at Sodom and Gormorah...when people run wild and do not adhere to Bible values...the cities become cesspools of depraved sex and crime. Take God out of the schools and homes, and you get what we have going on today - a nation which is on the decline.

Based upon the writings of the Founders, they definitely believed that our Nation should be based upon Judeo-Christian values. As such, I firmly believe that God has a major role in the foundations of this country.

BTW, before the "separation" dolts start harping about their misguided belief in the phony "separation of church and state", the idea that our Nation has a Judeo-Christian foundation is not the same thing as a government-sponsored church.

Yes. If you do not like it, do not say it. This country is predominantly Christian. If the majority believes in God than allow them to express it. Those who do not like it have a simple out: do not say it. Tyranny is becoming of this country when people get words banned because it bothers them.
