Why do people say that Hizbollah uses human shields?

ttp, you don't understand my question. Please note that 1,000 Lebanese civilians died, that is 13 times more than Israelis. Not from Hizbollah, but from Israeli airstrikes. And I thought that advanced weaponery used by Israel are highly "accurate". But then I ask, why?

rj, I do not think that most Lebanese are that stupid. How would you think that the once democratic government of Lebanon would have Hizbollah MPs, who were voted by the people. That was before the summer war.

So now you're blaming Israel because 'war is imperfect' when they're fighting for their very existence against those who want them wiped out? Get a grip.

Many Lebanese may well support the group but they are signing their own death warrants.

Eventually Israel will get sick of their attacks and it will be over.

hezbollah uses it to gain world media coverage painting the opposing force as the "bad guys". They set up camp near civilians and launch attacks. Tactically its a good ploy but any smart person with a brain can distinguish who is right and who is wrong.

Because many Hezbollah fighters deliberately position themselves so that any retaliation strikes unarmed civilians as collateral damage.

That's what the phrase "human shields" means -- hiding behind other people, so those other people get hit.
