is Labour insistent on continual slashing of the armed forces ?
we are now at the stage of :
"The Armed Forces is too weak to fight any wars without the help of another country" - various newspapers / military journals

Modern politicians don't have a clue as to the duty of government. Or to any duties except their own agendas. For perfect examples of this see Blair and Bush. Both B's that stand for Bullshitters.

Governments are formed among the people, to protect their borders and enforce their rights as sovereigns who have created the government in the first place. People like to go about their business.

The English came up with the concept through John Locke, and the American founders actually put it into practice for a while, where it flourished.

Too bad the concept seems to have been killed off by the Socialists and other totalitarians who think the end-all and be-all of civilization is best met by a bureaucracy.

Anybody in England read "1984" by Orwell lately and not get spooked by all the damn cameras?

Were going into the E.U Brown has got of rid of the peoples right to have a referendum on the issue so we will have a european army.Taking even more of our power and soverienty away from the british people.Working towards a bigger goverment like America and where you have a less of a say.Basicaly there saling us out and we are paying for them to do so.Its one big joke and there laugthing at us.

Maybe they don't think the threats to the UK that the government will need to protect against are the kind that can be dealt with by traditional military forces? (Just guessing, sorry)

Our government has forgotten they work for us. Bush wants to be all powerful and govern the whole world. It seems the government no longer cares about us but only for their-selves.

I think the government would soon change its mind if they became target themselves, as they were in the IRA campaign fight for freedom.

America is a great Country and I ask myself, How did we get ourselves in such a sad predicament, hopefully we'll come to our senses before it's too late.
