If you've been reading into the different conspiracy theories on sites such as abovetopsecret.com, you are probably aware of the theory that the government caused 9/11 to keep the disclosure project from getting a spot on the news. They all came before the national press club in I believe may of 2001. This is still a theory though. It's my guess that the government is too busy to do such a hearing and I bet that even if they were granted a hearing, the CIA would cover it up somehow. I don't know if this was the answer you're looking for but it's my guess as to what would happen.
