Does living away from the water eventually eat at your brain and turn you into a mindless, following, Republican zombie?

If it does, I'm going to have to think twice about moving...I don't want to turn into a mindless, following, Republican zombie...

Rumors on the internet are that Fred Thompson attended a gay nightclub with Mark Foley at the 2000 GOP convention. If this turned out to be true would you still vote for him or would you discriminate against him based on his sexual orientation?

Seems to me, our current political climate is nothing close to what the founding fathers wanted. Can't we just sell/lease the Constitution to a developing country who needs one? We'll have to include an expiration date of 200 years.

I’ll excuse some people on the Left for their ignorance of the Constitution and the basic laws and rule of procedure. But I will not forgive the political demagogues and “journalists” who spout political attacks against the Bush Administration under the guise of principle. The Libby affair is just one example. They pretend to be shocked and offended that the President commuted Libby’s sentence. They claim that it is some kind of attack on the rule of law. They suggest that he could not possibly have respect for the decision of the jury if he sets aside part of their judgment. Additionally they act as if this were some invention of Bush that never has been used by a President before. I refuse to believe that these people are this ignorant. Therefore, their attacks cannot be anything but politically motivated. Few things irritate me more than feigned ignorance and sanctimony.

Nothing is moving north or south. Suddenly,a man knocks on his window. The driver rolls down his window and asks, "What happened?" "What's the hold up"?

Terrorists have kidnapped Hillary Clinton, Ted Kennedy, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton and John Kerry. They are asking for a $10 million ransom. Otherwise, they are going to douse them with gasoline and set them on fire.

We are going, car to car, taking up a donation.

The driver asks, " how much, on average, is everyone giving"?

About a gallon.

I used to work for a childrens charity, until just last week. I have left, but before i went i whistle blew on fraud that i had uncovered. In short, the charity is funded by the local social service department to provide foster carer's for disabled kids. The kids live with mum and dad and stay with the carer and their family one weekend a month. The agency have been claiming that they have provided more care than they actually have. This has been going on for about 13 years, when i came across it i went straight to my Director of services and expressed my concerns. I found this out four weeks ago, , i spoke to my union rep straight away. I have all the evidence to support my allegation. My dilemma is... If i pursue this, the agency will be forced to close as they will lose their funding from both local social services. But the children and their families that recieve services from the agency will suffer more than anyone else. This is a heck of alot of money not a few pounds.

Here' the question :

After the war, Iraq fell into anarchy, with extremists stirring up trouble, Shiites and Sunnis killing each other.

While Saddam was in charge - EVEN WHILE THE COUNTRY WAS SUFFERING FROM A 10 YEAR SANCTION - none of this occured.

Neither Syria nor Iran dared send suicide bombers in to disrupt his country.

Saddam was a bastard, to be sure, but Iraq is a country that needs bastards in charge, or else they would face the problems today. America simply did not take into account anything like that.

My question : Should we have reinstated Saddam as a puppet dictator under U.S. control, along with the former Iraqi army, in order to keep peace in Iraq?

As for the WMD crap, that's just it - crap.

As for Israel's security - SCREW THE JEWS.

I served in Afghanistan for six months during my service in the Army. I've never been to Iraq. But, a lot of my friends, who've been to Iraq, told me that they just go there to do patrols and occupy key strategic areas. Most of their time is spent training in extreme weather or spent on surfing the Internet and/or playing video games, which is kind of what I did in Afghanistan.

If we continue to send our troops over there just to occupy space, how are we ever going to win this war?

Seriously, is it even possible to catch a glimpse of victory in Iraq?

*Please keep in mind that these details are not representative of all the troops that are currently serving in Iraq/Afghanistan. I used to be in military intelligence (98C). So, my mission (and my friends' missions) might differ from many other soldiers who have more "hardcore" MOS's.

Illegal wiretapping and the U.S. attorneys scandal are two very strong cases to base an impeachment on. Is it time to impeach or should we wait it out?

GOP trolls need not respond. Who's listening to you anyway? Apparantly not 74% of the nation.
