Depends on your definition of "green."

With his personal definition of the term, you are free to fly all over the world in your private jet and hire MANY SUVs to get you from the airport to your destination.

If you can't do this, then you are to walk/bicycle to work, use grocery bags over-and-over again, use CFBs, and recycle your trash.

Al Gore's green footprint is about the size of Montana! He and his family and their security detail and entourage jetset around the world as if oil grew on trees! Not only that they own lots-o-vehicles, lots-o-toys, and have a MASSIVE home that sucks twenty times the electricity of yours and mine!

His excuse for all this is that he buys "energy credits" to offset his overconsumption.

But that's kind of a lame excuse for a self-proclaimed environmentalist. What he's really saying is ... we rich people can consume all of the world's natural resources that we want and then simply buy energy credits and call ourselves "green", which is great because then our jetsetting, materialistic lifestyles aren't impacted at all....HOWEVER, you poor normal people, - we want you to "feel the pain" and make the drastic lifestyle changes that we don't want to. That way, if billions of you change your lifestyles, the uber-rich like us won't have to worry about environmental change ever actually affecting ours!

Gore is a hypocrite. "Oh, lets cut down on CO2 gas whilst I fly in my personal jet to California from Tennessee to see my bestest friend Nacy Pelosi". "Lets make more money by placing zinc mines on my personal property".

You have to admit, Americans, including myself, are very wasteful and spoiled. We have more concern for convenience and time savings than concern for waste without considering the damage we're doing.
