I lived in an Axis occupied country during WWII. I was too young then but I knew of many to joined the resistenance. Many were captured and killed. To those who have not had the brutal experience, picture yourself forced to bow everytime you walk by occupying soldiers and get hit by a rifle butt if you refuse. Imagine occupying soldiers raping your women, hoarding all available food, among other things. Then answer your own question.
