Rumors on the internet are that Fred Thompson attended a gay nightclub with Mark Foley at the 2000 GOP convention. If this turned out to be true would you still vote for him or would you discriminate against him based on his sexual orientation?

I wouldn't vote for him if he turned out to be Straight! We DON'T need anymore "actors" in the White House... We need someone whose actions are grounded in "Reality". And we haven't seen anyone like THAT- in almost 7 years...

The truth is Fred is a ladies man, even so if he fights Islamic terrorism, cuts taxes and stomps liberals like the one who asked this question then I would vote for him even if he took the oath of office in drag. I as a conservative do not judge people by sexual preference and the same goes for all the conservatives I know. You have no idea how conservatives think and no I didn't hear it on talk radio.

Nice attempt at making a controversy. Based upon his currently stated views, it would be very hard to believe that he is. I have to say personally that I have attended a lesbian bar with a married couple to visit some friends of ours. Does that make me gay? Does it make the wife in the couple gay?
Oh and by the way, please check the validity of your sources. Any time the democrats are threatened by someone, they begin making up lies about that person in an attempt to destroy their credibility. Can you say Dan Rather?

First..it is as wrong for you to promote a rumor as it would be to start one.
You are raising the speculation that Fred Thompson might be Gay (which is none of my business) and that he parties with a suspected child molester... all of which you know are baseless.
But if Fred Thompson were in any way sexual...I wouldn't care..and wouldn't want to know about it.

I wouldn't NOT vote for him because he was gay, but I would think twice about voting for him if he was lying about being gay, because then I'd wonder what else he was lying about.
