Hillary Clinton as President of the United States
Harry Reid as Senate Majority Leader
Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House

If this happpens (and that's a big if!) it will mean the end of America as we know it and the complete death of America as our founding fathers visioned it. A socialist as President and two committed liberals leading Congress. This should be a wake up call to all Americans with traditional American values!

if democrats/liberals want to end the irag war,why not just cut the military funding,if it is true that they were elected to end the war in an american defeat, what are they waiting for,or is it that they are trying to force bush to call the troops home so they can blame bush for the defeat, and the slaughter,of the iragi civilians that will happen when american troops retreat, just as what happened in vietnam, when democrats/liberals forced american troops to retreat, when they cut funding!

There have been multiple questions in Y/A regarding the Plame dismissal, but the articles state "U.S. District Judge John D. Bates dismissed the case on jurisdictional grounds and said he would not express an opinion on the constitutional arguments."

In other words, it was filed in the wrong court and needs to be filed in the correct court, there is no decision or reflection on the constitutional grounds of the complaint. So her attorneys will more than likely refile the case, this is no great victory for the conservatives, just a bit of a delay.

Do we need to send Conservatives back to school to work on their reading comprehension skills or (as I have suspected all along) do they just see what they want to see?

Or do you generally want to understand, and find compromise, to mend the deep political wounds of the United States?

Like today I hear, "they pay them 20hr to sweep the floor". I always tell these people, maybe you should get paid that much. Unions are democracy in the workplace. Besides we would not need them if people were treated good in the first place, that is how you get rid of labor unions.

A man who had been released from prison early for good behavior was convicted Tuesday of trying to kill a young mother and leaving her 5-year-old daughter to be eaten alive by alligators in the Everglades.
Harrel Franklin Braddy had befriended Shandelle Maycock and her daughter Quatisha. Maycock testified that Braddy went to her home in November 1998 and grew enraged when she asked him to leave.
He choked Maycock until she was unconscious and then forced her and Quatisha into his car, the woman testified. At one point, Maycock gained consciousness, grabbed the child and jumped out of the moving vehicle.
Braddy stopped, choked the woman again and put her in the trunk, she testified. Maycock never saw her daughter again. Prosecutors said Braddy then drove to a section of Interstate 75 in the Everglades known as Alligator Alley and dropped Quatisha in the water beside the road.
She was alive when alligators bit her on the head and stomach, a medical examiner said.

Because, according to virtually every economist, the economy is very good.

We have full employment (look up the definition), the dow jones is constantly hitting record highs, consumer spending is up, etc. The only negative factor I am aware of is the deficit, which is largely due to the necessary war, and that is only ONE factor involved.

Please tell me what fictitious formula, and what factors you are using to come to this ridiculous conclusion.

Note: Foreclosures (I'm sure a dozen of you will still mention them) are not a measure of the economy. There is a reason there are a lot of foreclosures, and it has nothing to do with the economy, it has to do with lenders giving out loans higher than people should have been qualified for (simplified explanation). But even after you put into account all those particular loans, 25% more home loans were written, and only 10% of THEM have foreclosed.

It would be easier to prevent identity theft if Social Security cards had thumb prints and photo IDs on them (and laminated, too). Someone from the Social Security office would then be able to tell an identity thief from the real person.

If an identity thief got ahold of a regular SS card, he/she can do anything with that number on the card.

So why aren't SS cards treated like driver's licenses and IDs?

"Universalism is supposed to embrace the concept of liberalism and democracy. Yet, in order to be able to define the set of rules which would define democracy, the procedure would be to take what the majority believes, and thus the minority would be left behind...thus universalism is contradictory as it implies prejudice against the minority"

I thought this was an interesting idea, brought forward by a friend of mine in a debate.yet, i feel that her statement is somewhat flawed.

What do you think?
