if democrats/liberals want to end the irag war,why not just cut the military funding,if it is true that they were elected to end the war in an american defeat,what are they waiting for,or is it that they are trying to force bush to call the troops home so they can blame bush for the defeat,and the slaughter,of the iragi civilians that will happen when american troops retreat,just as what happened in vietnam,when democrats/liberals forced american troops to retreat,when they cut funding!

How appropriate thaey fianlly brought cots into session, the democratic congressional majority has been asleep at the helm since taking office.

the slumber party was another political ploy to attract attention. The Democrats want Americans to think that they are doing a wonderful job. Both parties are horrible and the American people are getting fed up with their incompetence.
We constantly call the Iraq government incompetent (which they are) but we are no better. Don't we understand that the world sees all this and laughs at us?

It was just the 1st time in 6 years that
the Republicans actually had to show up
and do some REAL debate work...
no wonder they cried about staying all night.

Why not take Bush's Iraqi war to the
American people and let us vote
on the war...after all...
Its the taxpayers who are for Bush's war!

It was meant to re-assure the more extreme anti-war elements of the Democratic party that, even though the Democratic party completely caved on de-funding the war, they really do honestly want to end it as soon as they can...

they just wanted free pizza. no one actually slept in a cot. that was Hitllary grandstanding. the democratic lead senate is weak they have a 14% approval rating. and they claim to know what the people want. they know what they want. why would they need a cot if they were pulling an all night-er? were some of them going to sleep during this session?

Because cutting funding is not good for the troops. Bringing them home is.

It accomplished one thing:

It called the GOP to account.

Who do you SUPPORT? The President or the PEOPLE?

And it was made pretty much clear which side they chose.
