The militia you speak of, will it be controlled by the Sunnis or the Shias or the Kurds?

And if you select just one faction, could the other two enjoy a degree of security?
If collectively, do you honestly believe they will cooperate with each other?

No.
What is needed is another Saddam.
We were idiots to remove him.
We were equally stupid to disband the Republican Guard.
Those two acts totally destabilized Iraq's security infrastructure.

of course, our mental midgets in the White House and the Pentagon apparently thought differently...or didn't see that coming.

Oops!

You must be kidding. Militia from other Muslim countries to safeguard Iraq? There would be a killing spree like you have never heard about in previous history. Shiites against Sunnis. Kurds against either Shiite or Sunni. Sunnis against everything that walked or breathed air. The only good thing about this would be that Americans would be home where they belong. Why can't the average American understand that the Muslims in Iraq do not want a Democracy. They never had a Democracy and wouldn't know what to do with it if they ever had one. They have had years to form a working Democracy in Iraq. What do they have? A government that is almost as bad as ours. They can't get anything done except vote to take August off......and that took them three weeks to accomplish. For now, Iraq is a lost cause until our staunch enemy Iran moves in and takes over. This is what Iran wants.
Saddam wanted to be the "DON" of the middle east. He didn't make it. Now the idiot who is president of Iran wants the job under the guidance of the clerics and he will eventually get it. He thinks we are beaten because we are doing nothing to stop him from getting a nuke. America is weak. He may be fooled when our planes begin flying over Iran dropping conventional bombs on his nuclear sites.

Which countries? Syria? That nation is run by the Ba'athists. The same party we overthrew in Iraq. The Saudis? Their dominant religious sect is the Wahabi sect. A group very close in ideology to the Salafist Jihadists we are fighting around the world. Jordan? The majority of the population in that Hashemite Kingdom is Palestinians. If the Arab Legion of Jordan moves into Iraq there will be some nasty domestic reactions from the likes of Hamas. Kuwait? When invaded by Iraq they came apart like the seams on a cheap suit. Not much military muscle there. How about Egypt and the other nations in North Africa? Well, that part of the Islamic Crescent is called the "Magreeb". It means the place where the sun sets. To those on the Arabian Peninsula, they are viewed the same as southerners are in this country who are called "rednecks" only because of their place of origin. The Gulf States are the only ones who stepped up to the place and gave us basing rights and support, along with Kuwait. But, their military potential is nil as well.

So we could have three separate factions of Iraq militia, each based on the Shiites, Sunnis, and Kurds who hate each other so badly they'd suicide bomb each others holdings, who would probably spend more time trying to kill each other than safeguard Iraq.

Wow...talk about a true civil war situation.

First of all that would be seen as a defeat, which would leave the US government embarrassed.
Secondly think about the billions of US dollars that this administration has spent and all the other unfortunate happenings in Irag since the war started, you will realize why?
