The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.
... not many people 'like' taxes

Because it allowed our federal government to become the huge socialist bureaucracy it has become. The only way we the people will ever control our government is to deny it the right to forcibly steal from us.
