There have been multiple questions in Y/A regarding the Plame dismissal, but the articles state "U.S. District Judge John D. Bates dismissed the case on jurisdictional grounds and said he would not express an opinion on the constitutional arguments."

In other words, it was filed in the wrong court and needs to be filed in the correct court, there is no decision or reflection on the constitutional grounds of the complaint. So her attorneys will more than likely refile the case, this is no great victory for the conservatives, just a bit of a delay.

Do we need to send Conservatives back to school to work on their reading comprehension skills or (as I have suspected all along) do they just see what they want to see?

well conservatives have had a reading comprehension problem for many years now.

the same guys who just hated the filibuster when the dems used it against them but think it's just swell when they use it to thwart the will of the american people as expressed in the last election.

the same guys who were really into the 'rule of law' when it applied to clinton lying on the stand about questions that shouldn't have been asked in the first place, but don't see what all the fuss is over libby obstructing justice in a case trying to get to the bottom of the outting of a cia operative - an operative who worked on middle east wmds - which, by the way, is why the iraq war was started in the first place.

yep, those guys have real problems dealing with reality.

which is why they will not survive as a political force unless they stop straying further and further from the herd daily...

I fail to see the connection.

You're saying that conservatives have a reading comprehension problem because Plame (a liberal) or her lawyers, filed with the wrong court?

I though you said Plame was the one who placed the lawsuit under the wrong court. She's a liberal so there. I comprehend, it is the liberals that need the schooling.

your so smart.

Plame's attorneys had said the lawsuit would be an uphill battle. Public officials are normally immune from such lawsuits filed in connection with their jobs.

you're only quoting the part of the article you want to argue about what about the immunity issue does that not come into play?
do you know what immune means,.

Except for the political bigotry (I'm a democrat, by the way), thank you for setting that straight.

It is important that we make such things clear. There is plenty of political bigotry on the other side as well (remember President Clinton and the stuff he went through?)

you are ignoring the fact that many people DO consider john stewart to be a newscaster... the forbes story was misread by john stewart to say that GE and Exxon paid no taxes in the US and all of the sudden there are a ridiculous amount of questions on Y/A about them not paying taxes. yet if you actually pay attention to the story, GE did pay taxes and nobody knows whether or not Exxon paid taxes (due to their tax reports not being released) and john stewart simply misread the story. (but he has yet to post a retraction, since he is not an actual newscaster and is not expected to) i personally find john stewart to be pretty funny. i can appreciate satirical comedy from either side. but the news, he is not.

If libs are so smart, why did they file with the wrong court?

Oh yeah, lawyers are big boosters of the liberal side of things, so it's one of those you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours kind of deals. Nothing like racking up a few hundred thou more in legal fees.

We understood it perfectly. We also understood that Plame and her lib cohorts were stupid enough to file suit in the wrong court.

THAT'S what we're enjoying.
