Although the Democratic Party was not the same then as it is now , it is incredible to deny historical fact . But they do it anyways . It's estimated that 1 million people died as a result and I would certainly expect something similar if we withdraw from Iraq too soon .
The Democratic Party has foolishly wagered too much on U.S. withdrawal and defeat . Although it sickens me , there is a silver-lining to it all . A victory means the Democratic Party is FINISHED .... Wrong about EVERYTHING . . . . and couldn't possibly recover in our lifetimes . Truthfully , I hope the dems awaken though , the cost of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi lives is far too big a price to pay simply because dems are often subversives thinly cloaked in disguises .

I believe Nixon(R) ran for election on the promise to get out. His problem was he wanted to get out in an "honorable manner" most of his actions were intended to force the Nrth Vietnam into negotiations. Of course when he didnt bail instantly the day after he got elected the "liberals" (using your words ) immediatly started calling him a liar and most of the other routine names they still use.
But you talk to alotta people today? They think Nixon actually started the whole mess to begin with.
His other problem was having a bunch of arm chair quarterbacks and bean counters like McNamara call the shots.
The "liberals" may have just eroded public opinion and forced NIxon to take a lesser deal.

It wasn't just Cambodia, countless were sent away in the previous South Vietnam when the North rolled across the border. Another example of why we are not trusted, people that we support we give up on in the middle of the battle and cut and run when the going gets tough. We never did that in WWII and that is why we won then. Now the liberals never want to win and they are playing right into the terrorist's hands.

Why do you blame the people that got us out of a bad situation instead of the people that got us into a bad situation that we had no business with.

We are not the police of the world.

It is a typical hypocrite that tries to push responsibility for chaos that results from our hostile actions that the hypocrite supports onto the people that get us out of those situations that we did not belong.

If you support destabilizing a nation by invading and destroying it, the resulting chaos is your responsibility, not the people that were against it.

I think that three decades of war in the region is what destroyed Cambodian society and made Pol Pot possible.

Plus, Richard Nixon is the one who brought us "Peace with Honor" in Vietnam. I don't think you want to be calling him a liberal.

You are just using this as a smokescreen, mate.
As if Republicans really care if 'they' (any non-American or better yet, non-Republican American) die?
'We're okay, while 'American Idol' is on.'
Who's fooling who here?
