Headlines today:
"Gaza's embattled Hamas leaders are seeking a cease-fire"
Doesn't sound like talk from a group who says they won a war.

And how is that for diplomacy - Hamas asks the media to negotiate on their behalf....
In 1981 when the terrorists blew up the Marine barracks in Beirut - I was on top of the building three months prior - and in discussions with US Marine leadership - they were saying that a bomb could blow up in the street and before it could be put out - it would be shown on world media. This was the reason for the terrorist strikes - to be shown on the media.

Why does the media help terrorism like this?

I've done alot of research into becoming a MA, but theres a few things im not sure about. Is it true you need to be a leading hand MA to serve on a ship? And how do you go about becoming a leading hand MA?

I understand the pre joining fitness test but once in basic training is it possible to have the bleep test instead of another 2.4km run? also what are the other requirements to pass the basic training physical tests?

Where am i likely to be posted after finishing the 'on the job' training? and how long is the waiting list to begin basic training at the moment for MA's?

Oh and if theres any other tips you could give, please say :)

(sorry for the number of questions)

cheers

WE WOULD RATHER DO BUSINESS WITH 1000 AL QAEDA TERRORISTS THAN ONE SINGLE AMERICAN SOLDIER

This sign was prominently displayed in the window of a business in Philadelphia. You are probably enraged at the thought of such an inflammatory statement. However, we are a society which holds Freedom of Speech as perhaps our greatest liberty.

And after all, it's just a sign.

You may ask what kind of business would dare post such a sign.

It was a funeral home. God Bless America!

Hello, i'm italian and i saw a documentary on History Channel about "Shock and Awe" the strategy used in Irak to destroy the Saddam' governament. I asked this in USA
http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AooFG8BWPW1_7NtUxBoV9rggBgx.;_ylv=3?qid=20071217075746AAnLRa9
But now i'm wondering what do the english people think about this strategy of war, cause their soldiers are in the same situations as the american troopers as in Irak.
In my opinion dropping bombs to destroy the most important buildings is what the terrorists needed to get their strategy of blood and death. What do you think about it?

(I have to apologyze for my english)

ISRAEL IS ANGRY BECAUSE NOBODY CARE ABOUT IRAN PLAN TO ACQUIRE NUCLEAR WEAPONS.

SO, ISRAEL HAS NO CHOISE BUT TO BOMB IRAN
ANYTIME NOW.

SO, WHAT WILL HAPPEN TO THOSE 160,000 AMERICAN SOLDIERS IN IRAQ?

WILL THEY ALL BECOME PRISONERS OF WAR.

BRITISH HAVE LEFT IRAQ AND AL QAEDA IS CELEBRATING.

PENTAGON MUST MAKE EMERGENCE PLAN TO TAKE OUT ALL AMERICAN SOLDIERS OUT OF IRAQ.

MAYBE FOR THE FIRST TIME IN WORLD HISTORY NEUTRON BOMBS COULD BE USE AGAINST IRAN BY AMERICA.

Someone asked me if Canada has a registry with the military that is mandatory to sign up with at a certain age, similar to the U.S. Selective Service. I have researched what i can, but have found nothing regarding the regulations in Canada.
Seriously, if you don't know for 100%, don't respond to the question.
Cite your sources, please. Example: If your are a Canadian and you have signed up with such "draft" or "selective service" or whatever it is called in Canada (without actually signing up with the military) please say so and I will consider that a great answer, as it is first hand knowledge. Thank you!

I am a 23 yr old female who wishes to join the army, but i have been informed that due to the fact that i had an allergy to bees when i was younger, i will not be able to join. This i s not the first time in my life i have tried to join, i tried for the first time when i was 17, and was refused. They told me then that i was disqualified bc of the allergy, and now, even though i have had testing done to prove i am no longer allergic, I am still being turned down. Does any experienced memeber or recruiter know what my next step could be, who i could call or write too? I am very serous in my ambition to be a soldier and i am willing to do what it takes to get in. Any advice or answers would be greatly apreciated.

I asked:
"Gun Control+FEMA run internment camps=Civil War?"

Today, I got an e-mail saying it was removed because, "It is not a question or an answer" and that it was a "violation of the terms of use"...

I'm curious to know why. This is a question, in question form (albeit mathematical) and there's no reason for them to use the excuse that it's not an answer because it wasn't posted as an answer...

I'm called paranoid and told, "...take of your tin foil beanie", but when I post a question regarding controversy, it's removed. And apparently this isn't the first time.

I want to know why my question was removed.

I'm a military spouse (Navy Reserves) whose husband may be transferring to another base in another state. I'm currently starting back to college, trying to wrap up a degree.

If I move to another state, am I eligible for in-state tuition rates due to my military spouse status?

Any information or experiences would be greatly appreciated!

Today I went to the movie theatre, and as I was walking out I saw this army person in her bdu's walking in. Yes she was going to see a movie, as you can not get into the theatre without buying a ticket first on the outside. But me being prior airforce, I always was told that you are only supposed to wear your uniform for quick stops, such as get gas or buying groceries not for leasure activites. So is it allowed or not?

Because with the international diplomatic problems we are experiencing with Russia by our continued co-operation with your country over the missile defense shield we are in grave danger of future attack. But what does the USA ever do for the UK? and before you say the usual bullshit about us having bad teeth and we would be speaking German if it wasn't for you I have three points to make

A) If it wasn't for England (the language you speak) you would have been colonized by Spain.

B) The United States assault on Omaha beach was a complete disaster, you demonstrated utter incompetence during that mission and you know it

C) You made us pay cash with interest for every bit of help that you gave us during World war 2, we only finished paying the loan last year.

So don't tell us that we would be speaking German if it wasn't for you because you wouldn't even exist if it wasn't for us.
