I've done alot of research into becoming a MA, but theres a few things im not sure about. Is it true you need to be a leading hand MA to serve on a ship? And how do you go about becoming a leading hand MA?

I understand the pre joining fitness test but once in basic training is it possible to have the bleep test instead of another 2.4km run? also what are the other requirements to pass the basic training physical tests?

Where am i likely to be posted after finishing the 'on the job' training? and how long is the waiting list to begin basic training at the moment for MA's?

Oh and if theres any other tips you could give, please say :)

(sorry for the number of questions)

cheers

Here is a link that might help you. The best place to ask is with the navy themselves. http://www.royalnavy.mod.uk/server/show/nav.6067 (Sorry Yahoo.)

Good luck and sorry I can not answer your question based on my own knowledge.

It is very easy to join the Royal Navy when you are prepared.
