A Kamikaze pilot was only to commit suicide if it was for the greater good of the mission. Just like our own pilots, the Helmets were to keep the pilots head warm, some hearing protection from the engine noise, and because it was part of the uniform.

I think so... Where my brother lives in Japan there is a beautiful cemetery for them. People still to this day are ashamed, but the graveyard is beautiful. His in-laws apologized to me for the war. I said that I'm an American immigrant and it was a different generation. We live, learn and move on. Hopefully that catastrophe won't repeat itself. It is very sad. Hardly anyone ever visits. I prayed for their peace.

kamikaze pilots in world war 2 didn't wear helmets. they wore goggles.

Its true its because there radios were in there helmets but also if something happens and they parachute out of there plane just in case if something happens to there parachute and there falling on there head then they have a small chance of nothing happining to them. Better the nothing.

It'd be no good if a stray bullet hit their head before they successfully hit their target. They might just as easily crash into one of their own ships then.

Somehow I doubt this is a serious question though.

Well they don't want to get hurt. haha yeah radios and shades are in them also they sometimes provide oxygen and other stuff so you don't pass out.
