I'm on a student visa and won't be getting married till a year from now. I'm currently a junior, and trying to join the ROTC program. Now the way it would work, is that they'd put me in the SMP with National Guard and ROTC, so they could expedite my citizenship process......

however, is there any way to join the Army or Army ROTC without having a green card?
I hear about illegal immigrants joining on a daily basis, but someone who is legally in the U.S cannot join??

All help is helpful, and if you have any contact info on recruiters who are specialized in my case, please let me know.

pls, don't write and say "you have to have a green card, bla bla bla" I KNOW... i am asking for other solutions....

Although it is logistically impossible to remove an entire army in one day this is a hypothetical question

They all leave tommorow at high noon - Gone -Black water as well - poof gone - everyone back in the arms of their loved ones having a burger or whatever they would want to do while back home in the US

Whats the main reason our government said for dropping two atomic
bombs on Japan? Why couldn't we wait for the surrender?

Concerning "Letters from Iwo Jima" (the movie). Was it right? Were the Japanese never going to give up?

I was wondering if you can or should wear a uniform while going to a recruiter's office?

I'm gonna enlist into the New Jersey National Guard this January and I already bought myself a uniform (ACU), I know you get them once you sign up but I wanted one anyways...
Should I wear it or can I wear it?
Except my Nametag I know that I can't wear anything what patches are concerned as long as I'm not signed up or part of that unit..

So any tips?

IS there a website or something where i can find out when my Husband comes home from Iraq? I don't have a key wife volunteer (one called me a few months before he left and I never heard from her again) My husband left almost 3 months
ago. There only hearing rumors over there as to when there coming home and that's a 3 month time gap! That's crazy. If there going to take our husband's away from us, at least tell us when you bringing them back! i know getting a exact date is out of the question, but at least narrowing the time frame down to a specific month would be appreciated & I feel they deserve to know this. & it's so hard to be happy about a homecoming (even though it is far off) when you don't have a freakin' clue when that will be. Thanks in advance to anyone that can help..

Almost half a million veterans were homeless at some point last year.Is that how the "great" america supports it's soldiers?
Why this story is found on UK news and not on every american news channel?

They trained me, turned me into a man, showed me the world, payed for my 1st, 2nd and 3rd college degree. I would not change any of my military experiences. In fact my only regret is that I left the military.. But then I look at my wife (who i would not have met had I stayed) and I am OK with my choice... In fact I never met a Veteran who had a horrible experience... Someone I know will reference the current news paper saying that 250000 vets were homeless, but I have NEVE met a VET who was desparately needy...

By the way, I was in juvenile detention custody for 3 years prior to entering the service... My family was destitute... I had to get 5 waivers to get in.... THANKS USN FOR TAKING A CHANCE WITH ME... YOU GUIDED ME... I moved from e-1 through e-5 in 2 years..... I busted my but... I only had a 9th grade education when I joined...

As far as I know, ANYONE WHO puts effort in will be rewarded with a great life...

Fools British Falklands Islands actually called Malvinas Islands, and also not be enlarged because the islands are of us Argentines, only you are ambitious, and besides it makes very much remember that time when you invade us, we wanted them we won easily and in the second British invasion with them we won because we had no civilians
We had to use armed forces hahahaha! Ha ha ha!!

He graduates in late november, and he said he could do some recruiting thing to stay home for 30 days or something? I know the military doesn't care about working on holidays and stuff so they most likely don't care that Christmas is right around the corner..
So how long approximately?
