If I test high enough is it possible for me to get a guaranteed job placement in the U.S. Airforce. A recruiter told me I need to choose five jobs and one of the five will be chosen. But other people are telling me guaranteed job placement with a contract is very possible and the recruiter is lieing. I want to be ATC (air traffic controll). I will NOT do anything else, does the NAVY offer guaranteed job placement if the AF doesn't?

I mean, they're in the desert and don't get to shower often and it must mean that a lot of sand and dirt gets caught in their foreskins causing infections and just plain funk.

We are getting ready for our first deployment, and at the FRG meeting they mentioned about the Eagle Cash card. While he's deployed, I want to work on paying off all our debts as well as putting more into our savings account.

The thing though, is how much money does he need each month while over there? Will he still need to pay to eat at the DFAC? What kind of expenses will he have?

Another thing is that we have a family plan cell phone? It only has him and myself on it? What happens with the family plan cell phone?

We have like 6 weeks left before he gets deployed, and I just want to tie up loose ends so it will be less stressful!! I'd rather not worry about this stuff in the last few days when I should be concentrating all my time on him. Ah!

My husband will be graduating with a B.S in computer science this May. We're looking to move to Huntsville, Alabama because of the number of high level tech jobs available with defense contractors down there. Some of the jobs he's seen advertised require a current security clearance for all applicants. How easy is it to get one of those and how much does it cost?

He's 24, is a natural born US citizen and has no criminal record whatsoever, he's never even had a speeding ticket.

He's the son of a retired Air Force Master Sergeant and lived on military bases until he was 19 so he's familiar with the military personnel procedures for getting one of those things but he has no idea how to get one as a civilian

Does defense spending include the development of new weapons? I'm trying to write a novel, and this is the scenario:
A U.S. senator is a strong supporter of military spending, which would fund the development of a new nuclear weapon. A small group of people hopes to prevent the development of the weapon and tries to kill the senator.

I am sure lots of you will say no so just remember those soldiers WHO DID fight for our country and their family and friends. Take a minute or two of silence at 11:00 on November 11th, this Sunday and please wear a poppy. It is respectful. I am only 12 years old and i am from canada. If a 12 year old is honoring them then you should be too!

I am just recently returned from Iraq after 15 months with the 25th ID. I am a 19D Cavalry Scout coming to the end of my
(6 months left) of my 3 yr contract. One thing I noticed is just how much contactors such as KBR, DynoCorp, Tripple Cannapoy and others make there. I have been offered to go to the board if I stay in.
Is it worth staying in the Army or would you reccommend a single guy get out and make alot more money in the sandbox and try to get back in a few years if I miss the military?
Just looking for advice and see if there is anything out there I don't know about....all advice is appreciated.

I wanted to go to Iraq or Afghanistan and my unit was going to be the first in Iraq coming through the Turkish border but at the last minute the Turkish government decided not to allow us to use their air space. By the time my unit did go I had already been discharged for a non war related head injury. I can't help but to feel slighted after all the training I did. I loved more than anything being a soldier but feel weird letting people know I am a veteran.
