Don't feel bad on not being deployed. It's understandable your feelings but you did not let anyone down. Please don't let yourself down by feelings of inadequacy. Be proud of your service and devotion to duty and to your fellow soldiers. The fact you have these feelings should show that you are a true soldier after all. Bless you and thank you.

No one should ever be ashamed of being a Veteran! I would say you should be damn proud and seeing your enlistment through to the end no matter what that end is is all that anyone can ask of you to do. Hold your head up high and don't be afraid to tell anyone you are a Vet.!! You've done something a whole hell of a lot of people can't or won't do and that's serve their country honorably, in combat or not!!!

It doesn't matter if you went or not you are still a veteran. You signed on the dotted line, and you held up your hand to swear to uplhold the constitution of the United States. I commend you for even joining the service and I believe more people should.

Don't feel wierd. Americans that care are proud of you. I'm also a non combat Army veteran. I was in during the cold war, stationed in Germany, (I did drink a lot of beer though).
Enjoy your day on Veterans Day, I know I do. God Bless ya!

Here is a fact that few but you(now) know.......for every soldier or Marine in the field (Grunt) it took 6 people to support him back in the rear. That, my friends, is Vietnam stats. My guess is that there is more going on than we know. So......A sharp HAND SALUTE to the THOUSANDS of nameless Veterans who will always be....VETERANS!
Semper fi from this here Marine!!!

I respect anyone who has joined the military regardless if they have been to war or not. Being a soldier is not easy even when you aren't at war. Thanks for serving and you should feel proud of yourself as a veteran.

Every soldier is a hero. Doesn't matter if you went into combat or not. You enlisted and were ready to serve your country. My salute to you. You have done your duty and done it proudly so be proud, there are many who refuse to wear the uniform at all.

I respect all of the armed forces, the reserves, coast guard, national guard, all police officers, fire fighters and emergency medical workers. Anyone willing to defend the country and/or help citizens I respect and I consider them "veterans" and heroes!

I can't speak for others, but I appreciate ALL veterans. As a matter of fact, I am collecting items to send to our soldiers like socks, cards, board games just to name a few. Thank you.
